Wouldn't understand that trade for the Commanders. Trade away a qb to then draft a wr who doesn't have anyone to throw him the ball...

We need a RDE with speed who can bend in the worst way.

His name is Takkarist McKinley.

Ahhh, I think there is a typo in his draft. He has the Commanders picking twice at 12 and 17. At 17 they are taking Kizer which I guess would fit into his Commanders trading Cousins angle.

The 12th pick is owned by Cleveland.

6'2 with short arms
I didn't think he had short arms.....

The Combine will confirm it either way but I read a scouting report that said his long arms make up for his 6'2" height.

I just found this.. I realize it's a blog.

#98 - Takkarist McKinley, Defensive End, UCLA - 6-2, 258

College Stats:

  • 2014 (Soph): 4 GP; 2.5 sacks, 2.5 TFL, 1 forced fumble
  • 2015 (Jr): 13 GP; 3.5 sacks, 7.5 TFL, 2 forced fumbles, 4 PD’s
  • 2016 (Sr): 11 GP; 10 sacks, 18 TFL, 3 forced fumbles, 6 PD’s
Games Watched: Colorado, Arizona St., Stanford, Utah, USC

Pros: Very fluid athlete with good change of direction and natural bend. Explosive off the snap, and very sudden with impressive closing speed once he captures the edge. Uses his speed well to set up inside counter moves both against the run and the pass. Quick first step, active hands. Good length with long arms. Plays with more power than you’d expect for someone his size as he flashes an effective bull rush at times.

id rather have tim williams
He's a towering 6'3'' with serious off-field concerns.

Theres a reason he had a very nice yr. Pac12 had their LTs raided by the nfl last yr. The conf was destroyed against other conferences along the OL this yr. Ive seen him play the last 2 yrs and he's an avg passrusher who went up against bad talent. Think of Goff.

half of his sacks came in 2 games.

yup theyre another team thats in the rumor for him. But Cleveland has more chips
Yeah but the real question is why doesnt the Commanders want to commit to him. The whole thing is weird to me. There arent 32 teams with a good starting QB today, and there wont be a year from now either.

I think Cousins goes to the Skins, they are stuck in a hard place after giving him the franchise tag last year. I am sure they are hoping to get a hometown discount but my understanding is that boat has left the dock. Him and Grappolo are going to set new highs for QB's this year, just glad it will be one of the NFC east's team cap space taking the hit. Dak will gather more than Cousins when his third year has passed after 2018 season if he stays the course.
