They quit attacking the whole second half which is why the Patriots got back into the game. Then when they're in FG range with less than 3 minutes left they decide to attack down the field. When you're in FG range and have a chance to go up by two scores then you play it conservatively.

No, literally after every play throughout the 3rd and some of the 4th, the Falcons probability to win percentage kept rising. It wasn't until after the sack/fumble that it started going down, and then nosedived after the sack that put them out of FG range. I'm pretty sure it was over 99% at one time.

Just thinking, isn't it something how when momentum shifts to the other side you start making idiotic mistakes yourself that lead to make it even easier for the other side. Call them Brain Farts. Take the last Atlanta drive with only 52 seconds left and no TO available. The kickoff is caught at the goal line and brought out to inside the 10 yard line. Just take a freaking knee and start it at your 25. You would think your high powered offense may manage 40 yards of offense and kick a winning FG.

And I'm not even going back to the previous drive where they had it at about the NE 20 yard line and then passing the ball when all they needed to do was run some clock and kick a FG to get a 11 point lead. Good thing I'm no Falcons fan or I would be depressed for a while.

Well anyway, congrats to the Pats and what a choke job by the Falcons.

They were pretty much beating themselves on every play through most of that second half.

If Cowboys had lost like this i'd be devastated...

To this day I have not rewatched game 6 2011. And usually mute the announcer if they try to bring it up in some Aflac trivia question segment. That game was the most demoralizing outcome of all time.

Can't imagine the feeling of a SB loss like this. It's hard to wish that on any sports fan.
