He's an upgrade over Claiborne because he stays on the field. He's an average NFL starting CB 3 million a year is decent price. If we can go out an re-sign Carr that would be nice.

The "because he stays on the field" ergo he's quality argument.

I'd rather have Claiborne back. Injuries and all.

I don't think you guys realize how awful he was last year. I live up here in the Philly area and see a lot of their games, see the media reports on the team.

He's brutal.

Absolutely.

Good depth.

This guy is a bum.

Depends on how much Brown can step up this year.

Brown, Scandrick and Carroll.

Could still draft a guy but 4m this year shows he's going to be a starter.

People watch one game and make an assessment based on it. Carroll as a third or fourth cb is pretty strong depth, he's a good player, or at least good enough.

As someone stated previously, you don't give a 3 yr $10 million contract to a potential 4th corner tbh. This is a terrible deal if he is nothing more than a 4th corner.

Yeah I don't understand signing for depth on the first days of free agency when there is actually talent available.

Ill tell you what happened. They basically liked him last year and think last season, when he was awful, was an anomaly.

You guys are being ridiculous. Carroll is a solid 4/5th guy and that contract is nothing.

That's exactly right.

And yep he was not good in 2016.

He was more than acceptable in 2014 & 2015.

Maybe he was playing with an injury... I dunno.

Meh. But these types are needed. I'm assuming oscan will be playing outside more as Nolan is a slot corner. They must really like Brown. Nolan also might fit with what we want to do on defense. We can still add a corner in the draft, but the most important thing is dlaw is on the field and the rest the players we have drafted are progressing.

Well we got two good signings with Twill and Peae, so it makes this horrible deal more palatable.

Of course we couldn't get three good contracts, had to botch at least one.............that is just how this organization rolls:laugh:

And what about all the years before that?

He wasn't very good before that either. He was an average CB, and that's being generous. I didn't like when we brought him last year and tried to sign him.

I want to see this deal before I really hang myself.

Their whole CB corps was bad, their safety saved them being a complete dumpster fire.
