Signs for 2 million last year, sucks and we pick him up for 4 mil??????

LOL.

That didn't even cross my mind. You made me feel worse now. And I already was feeling bad.

We do this every year. Last year we signed Alfred Morris, Cedric Thornton, and Josh Thomas and Alex, Risen, and the usual suspects rolled their eyes and told us we were going to suck.

Stephen loves to fill out the roster with these 2 and 3 year cheapo deals and it has been very effective. If it doesn't work out then Stash can bust out his jpg and were fine.

Gachkar, Selvie, Mincey, Bernadeau, Moore, Jack Crawford, Brown, etc have all contributed on these types of deals. And while the usual suspects like to wave their hands at Brodney Poole and predict failure on everything, just remember what Poole ended up costing us: nothing.

Low risk, moderate reward is a good investment when trying to field a roster 45 or more deep for the season.

As someone stated previously, you don't give a 3 yr $10 million contract to a potential 4th corner tbh. This is a terrible deal if he is nothing more than a 4th corner.

The cap is $170m not $40m. 2% of the cap does not make a starter or even a primary backup.

Wow, people freak out we haven't signed anyone, and spend a butt load of money....now they are freaking out we signed players for a lot less money....typical whining.....

We overpaid Carroll. He was bad last year and we just gave him a big raise it appears.

I read that he was a gunner on special teams and it appears that he is a slot corner.

I am thinking he was brought in as depth and special teams. It looks like the contract is front loaded and we don't know yet about guaranteed amount. I suspect this is a one year rental and we will be drafting a CB high.

2016 was bad.

He was decent in 2014 & 2015.

Agreed.

You have to take into account the situation last year. They had to go against Wentz in practice every day. So it's not surprising their corners played with absolutely no confidence.

Prescott will fix that. Give him a week of OTAs and he'll think he's Deion Sanders.

Still hope they stay on Claiborne. Bring back Claiborne and draft a CB and I can live with Carroll, I guess.

That's the mistake that the Fan Boys always make.

Critical Cowboy fans aren't complaining about lack of "signings;" they are complaining about lack of improvements.

You mean to tell me we couldn't get Carr or Claiborne for that contract?
This will only put pressure on Mo and Carr. Showing we can move on if they don't take a reasonable deal. Love the tactic the Cowboys are using.
