Hey all-

I thought some of you might appreciate this look into the salary cap. The NFL adjusted all 32 team's cap space from the previously noted 2016 rollovers. I took that and examined the cap impacts from six of the eight signings (doesn't include McFadden and Cooper).

Dallas should have somewhere between $6.5M and $7M left before those two deals and before the Free and Romo actions.

Free Retiring. Cut Morris, Cut Wilber and maybe Cut Hanna. I don't know where he is healthwise. That is why I say maybe.

IF need be something can be done with Witten. Extend him but do so in a way he can still retire without killing the cap.

Thanks.......we knew DAL got the 3.2m adjustment last week they just never tell us why

The LTBE are the usual sources and also DAL had a lot of money tied up with suspended and injured players last year......Rolando McClain missed all of camp to go with his suspensions and DMcFadden had 500k in roster bonuses he probably didn't hit.......RGregort also had 2 suspensions and probably had to give some siginng bonus back

All in before DMcFadden I had DAL right around 11m under counting Free's savings

Why would you cut a TE? Considering other than Witten, they really don't have a healthy TE that has played TE at the NFL level.

Yeah, I estimated around 16 mill after Tony. Now this is interesting. If they sign another FA, does that negate Carrs comp pick or does it have to be closer to salary?

It sounds like Swaim will be here for Training camp and I suspect we will grab a cheap option late in the draft. Plus we have the Rico experiment going on.

they cancel out on whatever tier they are signed for ....ie a 6th cancels a 6th unless the losses = gains

we are at 9 losses and 3 signed so we have 2 free cheapo signings(under 5m AAV)

Ah okay cool thanks. Yeah we're definitely not done yet then. I wonder what they'll target.

Unfortunately he tore his meniscus such that it is bone on bone and there is no full recovery from that. Microfracture covers the area with scar tissue not cartilage and results seldom good.

Gathers was a late 3rd day pick. I have no idea how he has progressed but with Swaim hurt again we should draft a TE once more.

Why cut Wilber?
