On the latest draft show Broaddus says why he was fired from the Cowboys.

Says Parcells fired him because he argued with him over Charles Woodson. Saying he argued for him but Parcells was saying he couldnt coach a malcontent. As Davis has labeled Woodson that. And Dallas never brought in Woodson because Parcells didnt want him.

Parcells made a lot of mistakes

I can't imagine Parcells being so petty that he would fire him over 1 disagreement.

Surely there were more factors like they thought they could upgrade his position with someone else or maybe Broadus was wrong on some other players. Who knows... I just can't imagine 1 disagreement getting the guy fired in that line of work.

Debating player acquisitions should be the norm.

I believe Broaddus. In jobs not protected by certain employment guidelines, people with tremendously huge egos act just like this.
It happens a lot in holiday, in college sports, in politics, etc. Some of these people want absolute control, and if everyone under you doesn't tow the line, they're out.

I'd like to hear Bills point of view but it's clear in hindsight that the game had passed Bill by
Eh, for every Woodson there's a headcase like Pacman Jones you don't want to deal with. Maybe Bill dealt with similar players recently as was burned.

Same way you can understand the Cowboys not drafting Noah Spense after being burned by Gregory. I'm sure a scout or two wanted him on the team due to the talent, but more people were against it. In hindsight Spense could turn out to be an All Pro, but you can understand why we passed.

He actually says they still have his scouting report on Charles Woodson.

Broaddus says Parcells argument was " im too old to deal with a malcontent"

Heard that. Don't buy it. Parcels likely fired him for not being a good enough scout, and then there was that one day when he also disagreed with him about Woodson being worth the effort.

Totally agree. I like Broaddus but I don't think he was all that as a scout or he would still be doing it. And half the people who get fired from a job say it was over one little nitpick while glossing over the things that they did poorly leading up to the incident.
