It's definitely gonna be a crowded unit. It surely suggests a scenario where a good many of these will be sent packing at the end of TC. Let's just hope that the ones that stay are the right ones and the ones that leave do so justifiably. They'll all get their chances to impress. I'm betting it's time for Randy Gregory to lead the pack that departs and the ones below him are most likely underdogs as well. Perhaps with luck, Ivie and Carrell are destined for the PS.

Forget Gregory, unless all of the stories on him are false....not sure on any of the others under Gregory if they make it thru TC....camp bodies and at best, are "hopefuls"

I'd seriously just cut Gregory at this point... he's not helping anyone... I'd rather keep one of the high motor 7th rounders... I'll wish him all the luck and vote to legalize when the time comes but he's wasting space.

Gregory's days are done in Dallas so you can forget him,

Lots of competition......I can see Dallas keeping 9 defensive linemen....Carroll and or Ivie practice squad..Moore and Thornton could be long shots to make roster...The rest on the bottom of list are camp bodies

Someone photoshop Marinelli seeing everyone seated in chairs.

I think you've got it, unless one of the two late rounders bumps somebody off. Not sure who's spot they'd take, though.

Or the Jets cut Sheldon Richardson to save $8MM.

Gregory will never play for us. Lawrence will play out his contract and be allowed to walk if he makes it that long. Same thing might happen with Crawford down the road unless he finds his game. The DL is a work in progress.

If Taco is a war daddy, we are within one alpha male from being in good shape. If Taco is a miss, then we need more help obviously.

Will be less crowded next offseason. Dlaw and Thornton will be gone. Plus Gregorys not coming back. Sure 1 or 2 more also.

Would love to trade Crawford (I agree he is better suited for a 3-4) but who would take on that contract

He literally takes up nothing. He doesn't take a 53 spot, he doesn't get paid and he isn't accruing a season towards FA. There's literally no reason to cut him other than being tired of answering questions about him.

I am afraid we will read about Gregory being arrested at some point in the near future. The fact he is an addicted and to my knowledge has never been arrested says something for him and his personal use use habit, but his luck is incredible. Maybe he lives in a legal state?

There's a lot of flex on the DL, so it's hard to know where some players will primarily line up, but here goes.

RDE: Taco Charlton (22/23 Nov), Benson Mayowa (25/26 Aug) - This could be a nice one, two punch with there differing styles
NT: Cedric Thornton (28/29 June), Stephen Paea (28/29 May) - Thornton needs to improve in yr two, Paea may not dress every week
UT: Maliek Collins (22), Tyrone Crawford (27/28 Nov) - These two will get the majority of snaps inside and play together a lot in Nickel
LDE: David Irving (23/24 Aug), DeMarcus Lawrence (25) - I want Irv to start but it could be Crawford, limit Law's snaps in reserve role

Reserves: DE Charles Tapper (23/24 May), Joey Ivie (22) - If Tap stays healthy he may force way into rotation, going long at NT (age, Paea's 1 yr deal)

Practice Squad: DE Lenny Jones (25/26 Aug), DT Jordan Carrell (22/23 June)+

Suspended: Randy Gregory (24/25 Nov)

Let youth be served. There isn't a DL on the off-season roster over the age of 30, the NTs are the old men of the group, Lawrence and Paea are in contract years.

This is what I was trying to tell some folks who thought we should have spent our top 3 picks on the DL.

They clearly have exactly zero insight into just how many bodies we have on the unit and how many are young enough and have flashed enough that the team (rightly or wrongly) is not yet ready to completely give up on for a rookie.

Crawfords days are numbered.I am looking at one of Mayowa,Tapper and Moore to step up and be the starter at RDE.
I wouldnt mind one bit if T Crawford is one of our final cuts...I would like to know what that would save us if anything....You gotta figure one of the young pups makes ie.. Ivie or Carrell.
