Cowboys’ Jourdan Lewis faced previous domestic violence accusation

Well, she had to call the police or she gets nothing. She had to strike while the iron was hot, so to speak, and if the player is telling her they're through... then she won't have another chance to call the cops after he's been drafted.

Besides, she might not have just been after money for herself... but in actuality been looking for a way to hurt him (by ruining his draft stock). The power these girls have over players heading into the draft is just nuts.

That is assuming she was after the $$ (I'm not saying she was or wasn't). I don't know any details.

Great logic. She's got a serious long view. She must have known in 2015 that the case wouldn't go anywhere but would set the stage for a future complaint. Totally projected his future success.

Compare that to a story about a 20 year old who got physical with his girlfriend because he can't control his anger.

Gee, what's the higher probability here?

You are right. But the innocent should have some recourse. Maybe a civil judgment if it can proven beyond a reasonable doubt that she was lying, like in Zeke's case.

Zeke's case was not subjected to the beyond a reasonable doubt criterion. Not filing charges is not the same as evidence that she's lying

Her friend provided proof (text) that she was lying-she asked the friend to lie also.

I'm sorry if I've disappointed you AB. I'll do better. I promise.

I've already scheduled some sensitivity training and I'm watching The Notebook right now.

I'm going to finish eating my kale and quinoa salad, wash it down with some Pinot Grigio and contemplate my gruesome male attitude.

+2 points for convincingly expressing genuine repentance.
+ 5 for snarky hilarity

Yer' on a roll, bro! You've gotta show up around here more often,,,:lmao2::lmao::lmao2:

She was going for $s?

Use your brain here. Calling 911 on him deflated his draft stock and will cost him likely around two million dollars (assuming he'd have gone roughly a round higher). How is that some sort of shakedown?
Stupid is as stupid does?

God bless your logical, rational approach. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you've never had the unique 'pleasure' of the 'crazy girlfriend experience'.

Where there's smoke, there's fire, and if a woman called police on you before about domestic abuse and you didn't do anything, why would you stay with the woman........

Could be true. However, people get involved in toxic relationships and stay in those toxic relationships all of the time. Especially younger people.

Furthermore, a friend of mine is a retired NYPD. He will tell anybody of how there is a far higher percentage of false accusations of rape than anybody here would guess. In fact, there's a certain 'test' he would do using a line of questioning which would eventually lead to the accuser admitting that she made a false accusation.

And from the sounds of the report, the police weren't going to arrest Lewis after the first incident, probably because there were no signs of her being assaulted. And the police probably offered her an order of protection as a way of saying 'if he really did hit you and you're scared of him, then file this order of protection against him.'

In the end, I still presume him innocent until there's some significant evidence of guilt.

Asthma, remember you are presumed guilty unless proven innocent.
Act like it...

Hardy called the police???
Yes, they released the audio. He said she was chasing him around the table while he was on phone. You could hear her in the background screaming "just break my arm". She repeated it multiple times.

Ha Yeah ,right !I did that once back in the 90's with my first wife, her and her son figured they were gonna ' take me down' (now ,you wouldn't know it cuz I haven't told you but this hosebeast took a baseball bat to her son's father while he was passed out on the bed one time and fixed his wagon pretty good to hear her tell it) so I've been drinking and forced to conduct a two front war punching boy with my right and momma with the left just to make to the phone in the hall,ya! That #911 call I made put me the caller in the klink the d.v. arrest is on my record / ain't never going away and the charges were dropped,, I'm red flagged with the N.I.C.S. background check to buy firearms cuz of that! Gotta wait 3 days to bring a new gun home , or slap the c.c.l. on the gun shop counter that's immediate approval
Can I get the English version?
