Well, she had to call the police or she gets nothing. She had to strike while the iron was hot, so to speak, and if the player is telling her they're through... then she won't have another chance to call the cops after he's been drafted.
Besides, she might not have just been after money for herself... but in actuality been looking for a way to hurt him (by ruining his draft stock). The power these girls have over players heading into the draft is just nuts.
That is assuming she was after the $$ (I'm not saying she was or wasn't). I don't know any details.
Great logic. She's got a serious long view. She must have known in 2015 that the case wouldn't go anywhere but would set the stage for a future complaint. Totally projected his future success.
Compare that to a story about a 20 year old who got physical with his girlfriend because he can't control his anger.
Gee, what's the higher probability here?
