It is clear that the Cowboys have done a very good job or acquiring talent and the window remains open to win a super bowl. I guess how much talent the Cowboys have relative to other teams is the subject of legitimate deabate.

I would say that most people would agree that the Cowboys have top 10 overall talent and should be a favorite in most of their games. Some would say that we are top 5. I personally think we are in the discussion that we may arguably have the best talent overall in the entire league.

A lot remains to be seen, but there should be even more optimism from our 2016 rookie class. If Jaylon, Tapper and Rico turn out to be all that and a bag of chips and we continue to get the same or better play out of the other rookies in the class that actually played last year we have a chance at having the best one year draft classes of all time.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say at least one of the additional rookies (Smith, Tapper, and Rico) will become a starter this year. I really believe we will get more than that out of them.

I really see the only question marks as secondary play early on and pass rush. If we can just be average in those categories in the first half of the year we are going to win a lot of games folks. We should be better than league average in the second half of the year.

What can derail us? An injury to one of the big 3 on the OL. If Freddie gets hurt it's a different ballgame.

If Dak or Zeke are out, then it's a bad deal too. Oddly enough if Collins gets injured (on defense) it might hurt us as much or more than if Sean Lee gets injured. He is a very important piece of this defense.

If we can stay healthy, this could be a very god defense, and that includes Jaylon and Tapper. I predict top 7 defense if we stay healthy, with more upside than that. Tapper may be our x-factor this year.

As talented as this team is right now, it is about to have another tremendous talent infusion again this year. It's amazing to think that last year's draft class isn't through bearing tasty fruit. But when you consider the huge X-FACTORS guys like Jaylon, Tapper, and Rico are for the upcoming season, you can't deny the validity of it. Add to that an encouraging infusion of defensive talent from this years draft and another potential weapon for Dak and the special teams with Switzer and it really is hard not to be excited. That doesn't even take into consideration that all of the young talent this team has acquired lately is actually going to get better. It is going to be fun to watch this team grow.

Possibly the most talented Cowboys team I have seen.

Gathers
Tapper
Switzer
J. Smith
Collins

If all of those guys become good players, this is the most talented team the Cowboys have had since 1978.

What about 1992?

This team would be more talented than that team!

Despite the fact that nobody knows how this year's version of the Dallas defense will do early-on, it seems things are looking up.

Dallas' 2017 lineup on both sides of the ball promises to be better and apparently, more stable for now and the ongoing long run.

When you combine the youngsters from 2016, who have developed further, with the draftees we have now, it's very encouraging.

There is a lot of talent, don't know about the MOST talented part. However, one thing I love about this team is the apparent unity that is being displayed. If that unity can survive camp battles and cuts, paired with the talent base, we can be in for a special team.

Hint, we better start expanding the size of the bandwagon, right now...

I have said this numerous times but if this draft class is solid coupled with the possibility of having 10 draft picks for 2018 class we are on our ways girls and boys. Still think we need a burner WR another stud OLB behind Lee a blue chip SS a Havoc maker at LE ( still think we have nothing but RE on this team).and a Prime Time CB ( pun intended)

The big risk is that they made massive changes on defense. Good teams rarely make that many changes in 1 offseason. Rookies generaly acclimate slower when surrounded by other rookies and 2nd year players than when surrounded by seasoned vets.

If they can win enough early to stay in the playoff race then the rookies have time to acclimate by the end of the season; although the playoffs will still be difficult will a large number of young starters.

I like the roster long term but there will be growing pains when parting with that many veterans. The follilowing were either starters or played a lot of snaps in sub packages:
Church
Carr
Claiborne
Wilcox
Durant

What's really surprising is the youth. Are we the youngest team in the league? We probably would be if Witten wasn't counted.

We have a ton of young talent. I'd say it has the most talent since JG has been coach.

It's going to be a lot of fun to seeing them grow up.

We are set long term at several positions. If we don't make a SB run in the next 2 years, it's time to see if someone else can lead this talented team to the promised land

In a great position but there will be growing pains this year. Gity about what Jaylon and Tapper might bring to the D. The offense should be nearly unstoppable.
