News: Dak Prescott accused of using machine to sign autograph

Yup, but because he plays probably the most most important position for the most popular team in american sports its a story

Correct. Although if he were playing baseball for the Yankees it would get squashed by the local media. Unfortunately, the local Dallas media would rather just run with it as well.

No mention if Dak was aware. Neither the card company or Dak took responsibility. Still confused what and how this happened. And really add in the announcement that Dak extended his contract with them? Would that be a payoff for their screw up?

The company said that Dak had "no knowledge" of how the signatures got on the cards. So it SEEMS like the company is taking the blame.

Said "his reps have no idea" but no word from Dak or Panini admitting he had no knowledge of the fake autographs.

Willing to bet he didnt even know of it. I read multiple articles about this already and it said alot of times athletes dont even see the stuff their supposed to sign as the agent handles most of it. This happened a yr ago with with another rookie. Forgot who it was. Read it at work yesterday.
Happened to Takk a couple of months ago.

From espn.com. So does that mean Panini sent cards they assumed Dak confirmed to be legit? Sent back as in already fake signed? Not enough info which is going to make people more curious.

Panini America said in a statement that Prescott's representatives "have no knowledge" of how the cards in question were sent back to Panini. The company typically includes an affidavit with all products intended for signatures that certifies the item in question was signed by that athlete's hand.
