This and the fact that "voluntary" mini camp had 100% attendance. Rapoport and others grasping at straws to get clicks and some of you eating it right up. How about people sit back, relax, and let training camp happen. The scorched Earth narrative is getting so ridiculous these days.

"But he's still..." "And I can't believe he..." "Yup, damned millionaire..."

And now the thread dies. LOL

Nope! Onto Irving! Yo, throw me a pitchfork, brethren!

Relax, this is the first negative thing about Dez all off-season......he has been stellar so far. Irving would be in a lot more trouble if I were the coach.

I can't decide if this is worse than the time he didn't pay his cleaning deposit, or better.

Congrats though, everybody, for taking a minor issue in stride and not overreacting to it.
Offseasons really are the worst around here. I couldn't handle being a mod this time of the year. It's why I usually go on a bit of a hiatus after the draft high ends.

When you need ratings.....get a story coming out of Cowboy Camp. Example: "Dez passed gas three times before 9:30".

This is the price they pay for being "Americas Team".

As Alan Thicke would say..

You take the good, you take the bad
You take them both and there you have the Cowboys Life, the Cowboys Life

There's a time you got to go and show your growin'
Now you know about the Cowboys Life, the Cowboys Life

When the world never seems to be livin' up to you dreams
And suddenly your finding out the Cowboys Life are all about you

It takes a lot to get 'em right when your learnin' the Cowboys Life, the Cowboys Life...

Don't look up, the sky is falling.

My post from earlier in the thread...

But was able to host a giant BBQ the night before? Don't get me wrong, this isn't worth making a big deal about, but that's a pretty lame excuse. Not like it was an actual practice day, all he had to do was show up. Like I said, this singular act is pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but such a large portion of the 53 man roster failing to act like professionals is certainly alarming"

Does that sound like an overreaction to you? Reading before you post helps

LOL. The excuse making some of you do for player screw ups is hilarious.

Dez was late. He had a pretty lame excuse. It reflects poorly on him and the respect he has for this coaching staff. That's just reality.

Oh he can get in front of a mic and talk about how he owns his mistake and how he loves and respects the coaches, but if that were true, he would have been at the first day of camp on time.

Great player, but a knucklehead.
Who excused it? You see no excuse making in my post so post on whats actually there not some made up strawman of yours. Some of you posters always finger wagging makes me wonder whats going on in y'all's lives that makes you that way.

So because Dez is a talented guy, he has the right to do whatever he wants, waltz in in his own time, put his feet on Garrett s desk and say oops! Sorry coach. I have a cold.

Dez was supposed to be a team leader. Lol!
Where did I post what you posted? Another person making up their own make believe narratives. Why do y'all do this?

If you read all reports, this isn't the big deal people think, nor is it a reflection on team discipline or the owner. They can do nothing but impose the fine...period.

Veterans often skip training camp altogether or for large chunks because they hate it, yet no one makes a big deal of it. Dez is Dez; enough said. Irving lives in California, so maybe he didn't see the point of flying to Texas just to catch the flight with the team back to California.

We don't have to agree with every goofy decision young guys make, but relax...camp hasn't even begun yet.

I'm sorry, I read the post I responded to just fine, chief.

"Poor millionaire" blah blah blah

"Bigger idiot is Irving" blah blah blah.

As my lovely Sri Lankan neighbor would say, "too much blah blah," hoss.
