NFLN Willie McGinest: Collins won every rep against Taco

To be fair, there is some truth to it.

He doesn't have elite athleticism, but he does pass key athletic thresholds that have shown to be good indicators of defensive end performance in the NFL. He had a broad jump over 115 inches and a short shuttle under 4.40. Those numbers plus his size put him in a good group among peers.

Athletically, he compares closely to Ezekial Ansah, albeit slightly less athletic, but bigger and stronger. Ansah had 32 sacks during his rookie contract.

I think he's plenty fast, he just needs to learn the timing to get off the snap. I wish Ware was here to help coach him up on this; he was a master of timing the snap.

Wasn't McGinest at Cowboys camp? If so, why wouldn't he have seen every snap?
Because I've herd other people that were there too that say Collins didn't dominate ever snap... namely Nick Eatman. Why are you still arguing this point? This happened the first day with pads on, a couple days ago. Maybe you just like to argue.

Collins has a chance to be the best RT in football, he's gonna dominate a lot of LEs this year.

When did asking a question become an argument? You answered my question with your first statement. You don't have to be overly sensitive. Sheesh!

You sound like a woman now. I appreciate when a woman takes enough interest in something I like to ask questions but OMG do they have to ask so many? It was so painful the first couple of years my Russian wife would watch football with me. Now she breaks down football plays and individual player assignments like the best of them... I call her coach during the football season. You think I'm sensitive? :muttley:

I guess it a matter of perspective. You're probably a person who makes a lot of assumptions, probably not as inquisitive and tend to not ask questions.
Me, I am very inquisitive, come from a journalistic background having spend 20 years asking people questions to get clarification and understanding.

As for the woman insult, you're just trying to get a dig in because you resented my "sensitivity" comment. I understand how fragile the male ego can be and when butting egos with another male, some men resort to the "woman" dig.
It doesn't offend me, though because it's a defensive mechanism, and I understand it all too well.

Be that as it may, I'll continue to ask questions and seek clarification. In my world, it's how people learn, avoid misunderstandings and develop a clearer picture of the world around them. :)

It wasn't an insult, bro. Woman approach learning different than men do. Frankly they are better at it. I was just saying you ask a lot of questions like a woman. It's all good.

Something tells me Watt would have competed better.

He was homeschooled; he's not adjusted socially.

He definitely needs to improve his jump off the ball but that is not it. I can see the pass rush moves that Marinelli is teaching him and they look the opposite of polished. I'm not quite so confident in evaluating his footwork but I imagine that is it issue as well. Then of course there is all of his keys and reads.

Ansah is faster and quicker. Don't think that Taco has twitch which some folks here are claiming that he has.
