Exactly. He made some nice throws and some bad throws. He wasn't great but to say he was just OK or even bad is laughable.

To say he was better than okay is lying to yourself. There's much worse things to be than okay.

Let's stop giving the Giants D so much credit. If the receiver is open and the QB has protection, then it's on the QB to make the throw. Doesn't matter if it's the best D of all time, if that happens, and the pass is bad, it's the QB.

Sophomore slump? Giants have our number? SNF curse? Dak got the big head on the banquet, endorsement circuit this past offseason?

Whatever the reason I don't like what I've seen from him.

You can talk about Zeke all you won't but we go as far as Dak takes us! A runner is not going to take you on a long playoff run... and the Cowboys have the cast around Dak to get their!

Tip passes in training camp practices

Everyday Scandrick was nearly intercepting a tipped pass from Dak. Near the end of Camp in Cali, One of the plays was so bad, I had to quit looking at the TC reports on BTB.

We go nowhere if Dak doesn't regain last seasons form.

Overthrown passes in the Raiders game. To Butler and Dak. Bailed out by a weak PI call on the Butler throw.

Back to back games where he let the clock run down to zero. I don't think he did that ONCE last season.

The lazy analysts will be teams have a year of tape on him. That's BS. Tape has nothing to do with him missing Dez on a throw that even D. Watson completed. And Watson couldn't hit a side of a barn w a dodgeball! This has been 100% on him.

I'm worried

I don't like him under center w the 2 step drop, that looked awful tonight

Am I overreacting? Talk me off the ledge...

I'm worried and nervous about this.

Only fans that continue to hold on to Romo's pubic hair can talk bad about Dak's performance. Show me a 5 interception game and I'll show you a bad game.
Not saying it was a bad game, but it wasn't a good game either. It was a classic bus driver performance which was good enough for the win against a Beckham less Giants. I just see a lot of people overrating his performance quite a bit.

Using last year as an excuse is sad. The defense wasn't forcing the bad throws. Those were on him.

He was off on several throws. It's completely true. It's football.. You would like to be perfect in all phases but it doesn't always happen Last year is not an excuse. Don't be silly and let's not pretend that this defense (which has very much the same personnel) is the one team that gave us fits. If you don't understand that tendencies, schemes and personnel do carry over from one year to the next, you're very uninformed. Why even study film in the offseason. C'mon man.. don't hate on everything all your life. Have some balance.

His game was good enough for victory and good enough for a 90 quarterback rating. That's all I know

Every QB makes bad throws in almost every game. Good defenses force QB's to make more great throws.

I don't think Dak played all that well and this was a mediocre game by his standards. But the guys on the other side of the ball are some of the best in the league and force a lot of great throws in order to beat them.

YR

But they weren't doing that. He was missing throws (by a lot) when decent a throw would suffice. He wasn't horrible overall or anything, but he had some issues. I don't know why that is so hard for some to admit.

The Giants have a very good defense and this was basically the Preseason game against the Texans that was cancelled.

We can't beat the Giants by 30 points every time, you know!

Look at all of Dak's games minus the Giants games.... Now go back and look at Dak's two games vs the Giants last year.

Now look at his game tonight. I think it is fair to say he had a good game Vs the Giants.

Some have very little perspective and balance. It's not that you're saying Dak was off tonight. It's running to your keyboard and stating this without ANY balance whatsoever. At least disguise the fact that you're trolling and reaction seeking.

Irm sure Dak feels he didnt have a great night overall but he did what he had to do for the most part. Got the W against a really good D, a division opponent he hasn't beat. Definitely not perfect but he might get a psychological boost from this game. Want to see how he does against Denver before declaring something amiss. I predict there isn't.

I understand all that. But the guys were open and throws were bad. It wasn't pressure or tight coverage, just plain old inaccurate passes.
