Monkey off his back, ask again in a few weeks :flagwave:
That's the biggest thing for me with this game. I was scared that if we lost it would get in his head that he can't beat the giants. Add the whole team to that notion. But we beat our kryptonite from last year and did it pretty solidly.

There's nothing to complain about after this game.

The inability of so many people here to honestly evaluate or criticize Dak is ridiculous. The guy was erratic at times tonight. A lot of passes were way off and others lacked zip giving the defender a chance to make a play (that Bease play was close to a pick 6 because of this).

The problems did not seem to be an issue with reading the defense or decision making, his accuracy and mechanics were just off at times.

And no, the Giants being a good D is no excuse for throwing a slant way over Dez's head.

Oh, and other QB's playing bad is irrelevant.

THIS guy... the defense was dominating. Just play smart and within yourself. Manage the game. Is Dak beyond criticism? Of course not but let's look at the game in it's totality. He was off YES... but how do you just throw out the opponent? This team had him confused and rattled in two games last year. He's 14-2 as a starter. I'd say that he improved... based on his showing last year. I'm sure he'd be the the first to say that he wasn't as sharp as he could've been.. BUT ... if the first thing out of your mouth after beating the team that you could not last year, is "DAK WAS BAD".. without any legit commentary.. is just trolling and poor.

Good is definitely a better description than he deserves. He was bad at times, okay at others. It's one game, we won, time to move on to Denver. No reason to sugar coat the performance though.

Lol.

He had a rating of 91, completed 68% of his passes with a TD and no turnovers.

If that's a bad to OK performance against a top D, then holy hell.

Some of you just seem hell bent on nitpicking him at every turn.

Prescott out plays Brady & Rogers, but more importantly, he not only got the Victory and moved to a tie with Phil in the division, but did it against a top flight defense. The perfect thing to say is that Dak played a solid game. Not great or bad, but solid.

Using last year as an excuse is sad. The defense wasn't forcing the bad throws. Those were on him.

The intentional feed Dez early always seems to kill at least 1 drive

I thought Dez outplayed Jenkins. Of course I'd have to watch on All-22, but there were multiple times that Dez was open and didn't get the ball delivered to him.

I just felt that we were allowing JPP to pin his ears back and go after Dak and I would have liked to have seen playcalling that would make him pay for that.

I agree, but I am afraid it does not fit the narrative of some the people around here.

Exactly. He made some nice throws and some bad throws. He wasn't great but to say he was just OK or even bad is laughable.

At least get your numbers right. Keep making excuses.

I think some don't realize we're talking about a defense that held NFL QB to 15 td 17 int and a 75.8 rating last year.

The Giants defense isn't the same as last year, they lost Hankins, and if Beckham is out, their offense becomes inept. When your offense is that bad, your defense becomes a lot worse.

Every QB makes bad throws in almost every game. Good defenses force QB's to make more great throws.

I don't think Dak played all that well and this was a mediocre game by his standards. But the guys on the other side of the ball are some of the best in the league and force a lot of great throws in order to beat them.

As a die hard Cowboy fan. I have to admit that this was a blow to the head and should have been called. Not that I'm mad cuz we're due for some of these with all the times Romo never got the call but it was a blow to the head. Overall the refs did not have a good week in any game that I watched.

But even if they got that call it wouldn't have made up 16 points and complete first half domination of our defense. And speaking of our defense give it up for the pups in the secondary.

But Dak played well, Zeke played well and the oline did it's job against a very good front 7. I'm pumped about this win. Twill and Beasely stepped up. Witten set a Cowboy record. Chris Collinsworth had to stomach a Dallas win.

It's all positive for Cowboy Nation.
