If you were Rod, what would you do to get Taco going?

Great players fit in any system. I'm not saying TJ Watt is a great player, but if he becomes one and Taco doesn't, it was a horrible decision.

It happens, can't hit on every pick every time. Except for the 2016 draft, we hit on quite a few. Give it 3 years, then review it. But some on here won't. We will get this every day for the next 5 years.

They got burned a bit on Crawford. They've also shown they are quite frugal when it comes to overpaying for positions. Throw in Lawrence's injury history and all I am saying is that it is not a certainty that Lawrence is back next year.

Now if Charlton and Tapper show little, that might change the equation a bit. But if Irving comes back and plays well, Charlton and Tapper show real growth, Mayowa is solid and Moore gives us something, I would not be shocked to see Lawrence on another team next year.

Give him that Nick Perry money: http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/green-bay-packers/nick-perry-9838/

I just don't see why a player that couldn't even start until he was a senior, and didn't play for a particularly good college team or defense, was the pick there. I get that Dallas needed defensive linemen and they were getting picked through, but I don't take fliers on first-rounders when I already know they're a flier.

It was mentioned on 105.3 the fan.

Ok. First I've ever heard it suggested.

Now I'm curious who mentioned it and whether or not they're credible, but it sounds like you don't have anything more than where you heard it. If anybody else knows, chime in with the info.

Sydla mentioned it earlier in thread also.

Yeah, but still no source. I'm just looking for where the story came from so I can decide how credible it actually is.

I love Rod, but in my mind Tapper should be in the rotation more than Taco. It could be that they want to limit Tapper's snaps from a physical standpoint. I think Taco should come in toward 4th quarter when Oline starts to wear down. Get those fresh, young legs going and let him use his quicks. We are going to have a DYNAMITE rotation when Moore and Irving gets back!
Go back before the draft and insist on TJ Watt! Go Cowboys

I'd limit our losses and cut him now. We can't coddle this kid forever you know.

<<< Risen, how'd I do? >>>

As I said before, Taco is a bust. First rounders shouldn't be projects.

LoL, really? A horrible decision?

You can go back into any draft an find lots of "horrible decisions" with that rational.

What would make this a horrible decision is that Taco has no college pedigree that is worthy of a first-round pick. It was pure guesswork.

Well I am rod at least we have the same name anyway and we both pace like we have a broomstick up our butt. Honestly I'd let somebody else wear the tackles down and then put the kid in.

What we need to do is find the next big cat in the middle then you'll see quarterbacks rolling out into our defensive ends

Even first RD DEs take a lot of time to acclimated to the NFL,Taco has the athleticism to be productive but he needs to learn almost everything.

If Lawrence, Irving, Tapper, Mayowa, and Moore are healthy.....is Taco even going to be active on game days?

I heard (actually read) there could very well be some games he's inactive......for me that's OK. After all, he was picked near the bottom of the round.
