lazing and integrating the range are straightforward as you set it for x feet past the laze range.
it is the safe & arm device that makes sure the thing does not go off by accident (john mccain accident).

That I used to work with in trailer land,a loner and half way secretive kinda guy that was a hoot (most of the time) to be around, and he'd dropped that 'casing-liner' thing on me when he didn't know exactly what or how to term or identify things,,, yeppers! it's quite handy in utilization

These devices can have different arming signals. Xm25 would be setback and spin. McCain incident would depend on if they are gravity dropped or launched. Beyond setback and spin. U can have drop or even command locks. If not armed then primary and secondary would be out of line. Thus can only burn but not go off.
