Pet peeve, tailgating in the left lane

I don't know how many times I end up stuck behind a slow poke in the left line on the freeway and then some idiot comes up behind me and thinks he'll solve the problem by tailgating me. I wish these people could figure out that I'm just as frustrated being stuck behind some idiot, but tailgating me isn't going to make the problem go away. For that matter, it won't help to tailgate the slow poke. If someone's going slow in the left, they're being a jerk, but you still have to follow the traffic rules and not tailgate. And, for God's sake, please don't blame other people who are stuck behind him.

I pulled over an idiot for going slow in the left lane last week. Almost beat the hell out of him, before he told me he was a veteran. I'm glad he wasn't packing, thanked him for his service and moved on.
