I saw flaws in both sides too, but couldn't vote for Trump because of the campaign that he ran which made it clear that he was against black people/POC/women/Muslims and will mainly stand for the white Christian male.

Some of the things he has said ends up dividing people more than bringing them together. And he knows that some of his supporters are white supremacists, which was why he hesitated to call out what happened in Charlottesville and has stronger language for the players protesting than he has for the KKK/****'s. Also blamed both sides for Charlottesville, but only saw the side of the Anti-protesters against the players. Which makes it look like he is catering to the racists of his supporters.

I disagree. I have seen him put women in the highest position within this business and in Government now. As for Muslim, the ban he has in place is based on the fact the countries that are affected are countries that there is no way to vet them. Even the Obama administration was told by DHS and the CIA that there was a big risk since there was no way to vet these people. Now does the travel ban affect all Muslim nations? No

Indonesia 204,847,000 (87%[90])
  • India 172,000,000 (14%) (2016)

None of these Muslim nations are under a travel ban.

The left has created their own narrative that lacks a lot of facts and reality. They are upset they lost the election and are looking for anything and everything to go after him.

and Obama did nothing to the Black Panthers who were using intimidating tactics at voting locations, DOJ and Holder blew it off. So does that make Obama a racist as well?

And the right didn’t go after Obama for 8 years? It’s gotten so bad from both sides that nothing is getting done.

I mean, is anyone really surprised by this?
agreed....really has become a mockery. It's a shame because a cause and message that has some merit was hijacked by a protest that was purposely aimed to insult and place a thumb right in the eye of good, wholesome and patriotic Americans - not a great way to garner goodwill

I doubt the people who this message should've been directed to, local community leaders and police depts, will be able to hear through the noise/uprising this approach created.

What I am getting at is correcting lies and they are lies by media and left wing groups. Trump is anti-Muslim because of the ban? Yet not all Muslim Countries are band, a small group is because of the fact of radical governments or lack of any true Government and impossible to vet anyone coming out of those countries. He is Anti Black? Yes People like Jackson and others have praised him in the past yet now he is being treated like he is the Grand Wizard. I firmly believe this narrative will not change from the left. I would hope people would be open minded enough to view all sides of Trump, the good and the bad.

The left media has certainly gone overboard on Trump and his every transgression. But many people just can’t get by the bat **** crazy stuff he does. I mean I spent a life time in the military and his comments about John McCain, a great American and a great Conservative, were just mind blowing. For that alone, I can never respect Trump.

Believe me I'm not trying to convert anyone to be a trump supporter, I just hope as you said that some can at least see through the left media claims.

I don’t vote by party. I’ve voted for Reagan, Clinton and the first Bush. I value issues from both sides. I vote by whom I think will be the best leader for our country.

If the Black Panthers ran over someone with a car during a protest and killed them, would the right be okay with him calling them "fine people" or how "both sides" are to blame.

So, even if you don't believe that Trump himself isn't racist. His White Supremacists supporters take his words and use it for their hate. Him blaming both sides for what happened in Virginia made David Duke and other white supremacists praise him and say that it was good for him to blame both sides. Making counter protesters seem at equal fault to what happened, including the woman who got ran over.

Trump who pays so much attention to what the media says about him, could have distance himself from the white supremacists who took his words as him really being on their side and say that wasn't what he meant. But, chooses to double down on their being violence on both sides, even though there was only one side who killed a person on that day.

Just like people taking his word about a Muslim ban to mean that all Muslims are terrorist. It doesn't help when there is a terrorist attack over seas, he is quick to tweet about it, in order to push his ban agenda. Yet, when there is violence in the United States done by white men saying Anti-Muslim things attacks or kills people such as the case in Oregon. Then Trump doesn't respond at all or is slow to respond and call out the KKK/****'s by their name.

And just like with Tomlin some are being called racist names. But, then people will claim that the anger towards the players protesting has nothing to do with race and that there is no reason to protest the racial injustice/racism issues still going on in this country.

Some really do value a piece of fabric/song over human lives.

If that’s all the flag/national anthem mean to you then get the **** out.

Without the backing of the party and their platform you can't get elected. Their are principals that both parties believe in and their candidate adhere to. so for the most part voting for the individual is like voting for the party. Clinton had she won would be governing on the democrat believes

Trump did not call that thug a fine person, those who protest peacefully while I would not call any of them fine people were law abiding. Those who performed acts of violence are criminals regardless of which side you stood on. Those who protest peacefully are US citizens with constitutional rights.

What the left wants is for Trump to condemn those they disagree with but turn the blind eye or support the hate groups that support them.

Leftist radical groups supported Clinton and or Sanders and radical groups supported Obama so does that make them the same?

I will be the 1st to say Trump is not a career politician and not the most articulate, he is not a man who talks for hours and does nothing. He is no PC or the status quo Washington politician and that is a big part of why he won. People are sick of the same old politicians

Compared to human lives and issues that I find more important for the foundation and future of America, then yes I guess you could say that it's all it means to me. I don't have to leave as it is my right as an American to express my views and point out the flaws in this country.

McCain is not a great conservative. He would have to be conservative first.

I'm glad this issue is exposing people. I was invited to a BBQ by a white male who I saw on Facebook run his mouth the same way some of you are. Of course he didn't get a response back from me about me attending. And frankly, if it isn't involving work it would behoove him to never say a word to me. I hope the black people in you guys lives know exactly who y'all.
