What makes him a good dude? He felt the need to respond to Rodgers tweet but let's the racists run rampant on here and never challenges them. Transparent as hell.
I'm pretty sure he's allowed to respond to anything he want's to around here. I did know it was his responsibility to round up all the posters you deem racist and make them disappear.

Or Whitney's version of the Anthem..... before she met Bobby

it was Jose Feliciano that started all this hogwash with damned acoustic guitared version of the song in the late 60's...... white people were tripping way back then too........ this isn't new........lol

So good....no embellishment, just let that once-in-a-generation voice do the work.

I'm not all that much older, but I've never liked any sort of grandstanding for causes from entertainers. If I'm at a concert, it's because I like the music, not because I want to hear your take on political economy. Because the intersection of 'smart' and 'entertainer' is not all that large.

If I'm here to watch football, it's because you're a good football player, not because I'm hoping to get some special insight from you on social justice issues. Because the intersection of 'football player' and 'socially informed' is even smaller.

More than anything, I don't like that it was setup for an irresponsible president to take the football and run with it and have the rest of us follow suit for the next however many weeks. At that exact point, it stopped being about anything meaningful and became an exercise in dividing people based off of who they voted for. It's harmful, and not helpful. And to see that idiocy spilling over onto CZ, even, drives me nuts.
Well said. I agree 100%.

Your a racists favorite, congrats. Keep picking and choosing which posts to respond to. In real life you can't pick and choose, and YOUR qualifications (or lack thereof) will be on display. I highly doubt you'd ever open your mouth to a black person with the garbage you type though.

Your doubts and your attempts to race-bait are as relevant as they are interesting.

Our posts are all here for anybody to see. They show that I'm not the one throwing around insulting accusations based on skin color.

Why do you feel the need to badmouth a good dude like @Idgit ? That just don't seem right.

I think he's mad about a moderation action, but that's just a guess.

I honestly haven't said anything I can think of to legitimately trigger him.

He's not the most rational guy, though, so who knows what conclusions he's jumped to.

There we go. I disagreed politely about a topic and then he's guessing about a bunch of moderation activity when he has zero idea what actually went down.

And, of course, he's perfectly happy to throw racism accusations even though he's completey in the dark as to whether or not they're accurate. Nice.

Dude, you know everybody can read everything that's been said, right? Like, everybody can see that you're just making this irresponsible **** up.

You're embarrassing yourself.

One thing you can usually say about moderating around here: it's rarely one-sided. Both sides get pissed at you if you're doing it right.

Some just handle it better than others.

Just close your eyes, stick your fingers in your ears and go, "LALALALALALA" till kickoff and you'll be fine.

Other than that, take your complains to Prez. T., he's the one that blew this thing up.
Not hardly, friend!
Although your perfectly entitled to perceive it like it's "ALL ON TRUMP" there was a seething and roiling undercurrent long before
"The Donald" popped off about it, yet since he's launched preliminary volleys, the counter battery have spun their guns to bare,,,,sheese, sometimes I envy Slim Pickens from Dr.

Given that the protest is about police policy, your comment is absurd.
First thing Fuzzy, I'm not buying your dictate of the cause/ effect,,,, the cause being what "kap" felt compelled to employ ,as I reckon is his right to do so,
But with prominent and pushed media coverage,,, I recall players taking a knee back in the 70's ( I think it was a black Miami Dolphins player, not positive, but I recall my father firing off a fusillade of GD's at the T.V. then) the right to express oneself has been upheld by the supreme Court's ruling on flag burning, so if folks got that disrespectful of the flag casing-liner syndrome it's pretty GD selective, yet the INFLAMED media driven firestorm is what's ABSURD, up to and surpassing yer' pointy headed comment concerning it,the B.B.C. since day number one of this POTUS has been beyond un-watchable,,, due to an AGENDA!
if yer' fuzzed up over my quoting you for not buying yer' narrowly presented narrative singularly arrayed of the broad spectrum ???
Well Bro! That's the way it goes, first yer' money and then yer' clothes,
Naked and brokeo_O

I hope the fans do. I'm so done with all of this crap. I just want to watch Football. I watch sports to get away from all of this crap on the daily. Now you can't even have that.
Why is the anthem and flag associated with sports anyway? Standing and issuing an utterance or gesture in support of government seems to me a political gesture in itself, in addition to an expression of 1st amendment free speech. Choosing not to stand during that time would represent a non-compliant action to which you could only speculate about as far as to reason...also an expression of 1st amendment free speech. It seems to me that this is REALLY an issue of INTOLERANCE...intolerance of the belief of another that does not align with yours. To compel that person under punitive threat to align with YOUR view seems bigoted, arrogant and constitutionally invalid. It is a violation of the 1st amendment rights of the other. Now you could argue that the players are under private employment and so they are not protected, however the NFL has made no rule compelling them to stand. They are only encouraged to stand, and the NFLPA and many owners have encouraged the rights to peaceful free speech for their players...so they do have some polemic legal redress.

I don't agree with Jerry Jones at all...but that won't prevent me from watching the team play, but it certainly boils my blood at the thought of being compelled to align or conform under threat. This to me is about the audacity of a player to not align with the normative social influence of the majority view...which in my view is twisted. Why twisted? Because there has been an insidious conflation of non-veneration with disrespect of troops over the years...i.e. betrayed sacrifice. It has become so entrenched and robotic that you simply cannot choose non-veneration without risking scorn or ridicule. That is the power of normative social influence and there are those who will use that power as a cudgel to compel others to align with what they think about what something should represent, when that view is recognized by the 1st amendment as subjective/exclusive for each individual american.

My view is that the removal of the anthem/flag "veneration" from all sports would solve the politics problem for both supporter and the opposer. To me it is no different than forcing (under punitive threat) an atheist to bow his or her head when they don't in fact believe in God...a right that is vigorously enforced in america.

The NFL breathes a sigh of relief as the President makes controversial tweets about the mayor of San Juan this morning.

Didn't say it was all on him, just that he blew it up. We went from a few guys to every team, now it's inescapable.

It also reads that, "Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”

The NFL handled this wrong because they are not run by basic business/capitalist principles. They are a monopoly who (in most cases) receives public funding for their stadiums. They get their money up front for the seat licenses and season tickets. The TV deal runs until 2020 and, again, the NFL will get paid and the fans have little recourse. A normal business, especially a mom and pop, would be out of business the following day if their employees conducted themselves in this manner and the business owners/employers approved of that conduct (which the NFL did).

At this point, the issue with the players, at least to me, has become secondary. The NFL came out and condoned it and even supported it. Quite frankly, there's nothing wrong with that. They are the employer and that it there right to run their business as they see fit but they've told their customer base where they stand on these issues. People can continue to tune in or tune out. I've tuned out with he exception of the watching Cowboys but I wasn't too thrilled with the organization taking a knee prior to the anthem. This tells me where they are and where they stand (no pun intended) as an organization. After 45 years, my interest is waning.

Trump restarted militarizing the police.

And of course he said all NFL players who were protesting police violence should be fired.

Give the police tanks and assault weapons, make for profit prisons, and allow police to steal assets without charges much less a trial. That is all for a police state.

Well if we are using the rules game how many people disrespect the flag and you have no problem with it according to the "rules". Nobody cares about if your interest is waning. Why do y'all people on both sides keep attention pouring lol? If you're going to do something just do it but I guess for discussion purposes maybe you have to say such. I can kinda get that.
