Dak was not drafted before the 4 th round

he is not accurate - has no touch on his passed

Weaknesses Beat up this year thanks to poor protection. When he wasn't being sacked, he was being hit hard. Not as competitive a rusher in 2015. Sacks and usage in run game might be taking a toll. Increase in short pass attempts from 86 to 208 this year reason for higher completion numbers. Accuracy on intermediate and deep throws dropped sharply. Pocket poise has been compromised. Hyper aware of pressure around him and lacks awareness to slide and find temporary shelter to make throw. Concern over pressure too often trumps ability to get through progressions. Must speed up the pace of his reads. Footwork is a mess. Slight stride onto stiff upper leg with little weight shift. Restricted follow through and too often tries to muscle throws with upper body. Throws to target rather than leading or throwing them open on short/intermediate throws. Too respectful of underneath coverage and must be more willing to challenge the defense. Needs to improve anticipation.

Bottom Line Hard to find an NFL comp for Prescott because he's built like Donovan McNabb, but lacks McNabb's ability and polish. Prescott has NFL size, mobility and enough arm, but the tape shows a player who must improve his mechanics, poise and quickness through his progressions if he is to become a full-time starter in the NFL. There are absolutely draftable traits and upside, but he will need extended work to smooth out his flaws. Until then, a team would be wise to utilize him on short-yardage packages

Would you like a list of first round QBs who did nothing, because Dak has already exceeded dozens of them?

Again, Tony Romo wasn't even on the field at this point of his career. He got better. Why is it assumed Dak won't?

I miss Tony, wish we had him last year and this year before calling it quits. But I am proud to have Dak as our QB.

You mean healthy Tony? We all miss him, but that guy no longer exists. Back problems are a no-no for a QB. Hopefully the o-line won't get Dak killed like what happened to Romo. We just need to get back to winning football games.

What can Prescott do regarding his throwing accuracy? There were many throws yesterday, especially late in the game, where throws were off and ended drives. That can be the difference between winning and losing. It's one of the most important aspects of quarterback play. He must get better in this area.

David: I actually asked Dak about this on Sunday evening, and he said his best bet was simply to take more reps. Honestly, it’s a pretty tough question to answer. It’s obvious that he’s had some issues throwing the ball accurately – but we also know he’s done plenty of work on this over the last six months. My best guess is that a lot of his innacurate throws could be fixed by simply taking a deep breath and making sure his mechanics are right during the heat of the moment.

Rob: I believe we’ve seen Dak face more pocket pressure in these first four games than he did overall last season. Any quarterback is typically more accurate when he has a cleaner pocket. He still did a good job making plays with his feet at times, particularly the sack he spun out of when he found Dez while rolling to his left. But the Rams were effective, for the most part, keeping him contained in the pocket. As we saw at Arizona, he’s at his best when he’s making throws on the move.

all the rest of the NFL can see that DAK is not good under presser

so they will keep 7 - 8 men in the box until Dak can prove he can best them with out Zeke running 150 yards a game

stop our run game
stop our team
:hammer:

His body mechanics suck

I guess we are stuck with a guy who won 15 of his first 19 starts and threw 31TD's to 7 ints. poor us....
His stats have been impressive, but they don't always tell the story. Nick Foles once threw 27 TDs to just 2 INTs before the league figured out how to play him. The league adjusts...it's up to the player to stay ahead of the curve.

This is the best description of Dak that I have seen thus far. I posted in another post that Dak needs a real QB coach to help him become a great QB and just not a bus driver. Add to that list of coaches a new secondary coach, a new OL coach and maybe an Offensive Coordinator who can adjust game plans during a game when the planned ones fail during the game.:(

The scary comment?

That he was unwilling to challenge a defense.

That's his problem here.

again 19 starts. Because Foles failed doesn't mean Dak will. If this is his Sophomore slump, and he is on pace for 32 TDs and 12 ints. then we're gonna be just fine. How about doing this without one receiver that can get separation beyond 5 yards. Even more impressive.
