Realistically, will we will be playing this season for 2nd place in the East?

Why?
Let me count the ways.

*Eagles seem intent on being 3rd down bullies. It was as if the cardinals gave
Philly a free pass on third downs.
*Wench is on fire.
*Their special teams are becoming effective, if not special.
*The Egirls defense shut down the cardinals like a Cracker Barrel with no food handling permit.

Where are we?
We might be left hoping that the odious Cam Newton and the panthers can stop Philly's momentum.
If not, lads, the East belongs to the Egirls.

Pack it in, lads. The red headed fellow is hoisting the Lombardi in February!

We are likely playing for 2nd place.

The gap in defenses between ours and theirs is stark.

They have an aggressive coordinator who has some front seven talent that can protect their weak CBs. We have a passive coordinator with more middling front seven talent who seems hell bent on playing a lot of deeper zones and soft coverage while watching QBs continue to eat us alive.

That's the difference now and will be the difference all year would be my guess. Offensively, the teams seem similar but defense and special teams separates us.

If you realistically have no shot at advancing in the playoffs, what does the NFC East matter?

We haven't even played them yet. If we can go 2-0 against them, that would even out our record as of now and give us the head-to-head.

There is still some hope we can straighten out the ship enough to become contenders again and the Eagles can come crashing down just like last year. Or to put it in your fake Old English so you'll understand:

Blimey bloke!!! We'll take their knickers down a bunch then go out for a spot of tea and some fish & chips. Too right we will. Tut tut for merry ole England and the Dallas Cowboys.
