Would you rather go 13-3 or get a new HC?

IF we could somehow go 13-3, JG would have proven himself to be a HOF calibre coach in the
process, and thereby worthy of retention. So yes, 13-3 and we keep what would have proven to be a great coach by extension.

And I want to be a Tom Selleck clone. That ain’t happening either.

I'm just not sure he has significant input any longer. I think it's more McClay and Stephen now. When I listen to his weekly radio show and he barely knows some of the players names throws up a red flag for me. He will sometimes say that #27 or whatever. Very scary!!

you are probably correct. Stephen doesn't inspire much confidence either, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Jerry is still omnipresent though, just look at some of his work the last few days.

Would you rather go 13-3 again this season and know that you could be one and done in the playoffs again, or have another bad season and get a new HC and staff in the offseason?

I love winning more than anything, but I think I would rather take the new staff at this point. I'm ready for a change myself and think that would be more exciting then a 13-3 year. Pretty sad as I always want to win!

unfortunately neither of these possibilities is very likely.

What does 13-3 give Dallas? They’ve shown MULTIPLE times 1996 1998 2003 2007 2009 2014 2016 they cant get past the divisional round even with a 10-6 or better record.

if this coach were able to go 13-3 again who'd be asking for a new one? it's like asking "if we have a good coach, should we get a new one"?

Would have to say 13-3, only for the fact that I have ZERO faith in Jerry making a good hiring decision if JG goes.

What if we go 13-3 and get bounced in the payoff by Green Bay again? I don't know if I could handle that, lol.

I'd love a new coaching staff too but Knowing Jerry, we already have our new head coach on our staff and his name is Scott Linehan...Jerry wont go outside the box and go for an entire new scheme with a modern offense and defense. So he's going to hire someone within so he can have that same control as before. A YES man.

Looking at this logically, we went 13-3 last year. We saw how that ended and we have a large enough sample over this 7 year training period to know Garrett isn't the answer. No need to further delay the inevitable.

I want a new GM.
That's the real problem with this organization!

Two consecutive 13-3 seasons would be great coaching especially under the circumstances. It would also be a fun ride. And maybe we actually win in the playoffs with a fresh, rested Zeke.

13-3. Now if you're asking me 8-8 or 4-12 I'll take the 4-12.

Problem is that we have 2 GMs. Jerry, obviously, and now his son Stephen is getting more involved.
Then add in McClay having more of a voice now in drafting and FAs.

I doubt we see S.J. relinquish his say over the teams direction when his father is no longer around

Im going to go with winning but we need a New D-Cordinator badly i dont want to switch out of a 4-3 due to all the investments in the players over last several drafts no matter how bad they seem to be, i think scheme can go a long way to helping players.
