Church was good against the run but not against the pass. I think Heath might actually be a little better against the pass as sad as that sounds.

With Lee and Hitchens missing games and the starting 1-tech having a bad knee, Church as a run defender has been missed. If not for those issues, I don't think we would notice his absense.

Totally agree, Church was overrated because of his run defense. Leary is the biggest loss, but that still doesn't mean the dropoff from Leary to Green is worth what Denver paid him.

Considering he is a backup in Washington, not really. The issue was not losing him and his "talent", it was the lame attempt to replace him.

Leary had injury issues every year. He played through most of them but his play when injured was terrible. It poor play due to injury that got La'el in the lineup the first time.

I would have to say Church -my feeling when they did it and my feeling now.

Minus Leary, all jags, all overpaid. If you think any of those guys makes the difference for this cowboys team, then you're fooling yourself. Leary has a degenerative knee and there is no way you can justify paying him that much when you have already put a ton of resources in the oline and you still have to pay Martin and Lael.

Demarco Murray. If we had resigned him we would have never drafted Zeke. If we never drafted Zeke we would have Jalen Ramsey.
