Was there in Normandy for the commemorative celebration this past year and actually met some veterans of the initial invasion. It’s a well kept secret that needs told, but every American should visit Normandy during the week of D-day once. The celebration lasts over a week and spans every town on the north coast for 70 miles. There are more American flags flying in northern France than there are in America for at least a week. Utterly breathtaking and humbling week.
Every vet I met, and there aren’t many left still living, would’ve suited up right then and jumped into a war zone if we needed them to. I had always heard it but I truly understood then why they say it was the “ greatest generation”.

.I agree, they truly were " the Greatest Generation!"...and we all owe them "Everything!"

Today in Strangeness: November 3rd...

November 3rd is a day of remembrance for the prophet St. Malachy, dubbed the "Irish Nostradamus."
There was a great panic in Europe over the close approach of a comet, on November 3, 1679.
Controversial psychiatrist and scientist, Wilhelm Reich , died in prison at the age of 60, on this date in 1957.

A "Prophecy of the Popes" is attributed to St. Malachy, which is claimed to predict that there would be only 112 more popes
before the Last Judgment.( and our current pope, Pope Francis, is the last in line of the 112...according to Malachy.)

Particle Scan Reveals Giant Hidden Chamber in the Great Pyramid:

Using advanced imaging technology, a team of archaeologists in Egypt have discovered an enormous empty space inside the Great Pyramid of Giza.
The astounding void measures nearly one hundred feet long and is being heralded as the most significant find from the legendary site in over a century.

Researchers managed to spot the chamber inside the structure by observing tiny particles called 'muons' as they washed over the structure and revealed the heretofore unseen room. Within the confines of the pyramid, the chamber sits above an area known as the 'Grand Gallery' and appears to have been kept secret since the structure was constructed millennia ago.

As to what may be inside the void, archeologists concede that this remains a mystery, but they are hoping that experts may be able to advance some ideas after studying the data gleaned from the muon scans. While the chance that the chamber contains treasures or perhaps something esoteric, like hidden ancient knowledge, is rather tantalizing, there is also the more mundane possibility that it is simply a structural design developed in the construction of the pyramid.

Unfortunately, it may be a while before we know the answer to what, if anything, is inside the space as the sacred status of the Great Pyramid makes a hands-on examination of the area particularly difficult. With physically drilling into the area out of the question, the best bet for possibly accessing the chamber may be by way of a specially-designed robot which has only just begun being developed.

And so, for now, Egyptologists are left to speculate as to what the nature of the void might be and whether science can someday figure out a way to unravel the riddle without damaging the structure. Should they pull off that feat, let's just hope that the final reveal doesn't resemble Al Capone's vault.

Russian Tiger Returns for Revenge?:

In a strange story out of Siberia that sounds like the plot to a horror film, a wild tiger that once tormented a city has returned to the site one year later after
traveling hundreds of miles across the country!

The weirdness began back in October of 2016 when a monstrous Siberian tiger was spotted roaming the streets of Vladivostok both during the day and night. Although they called the creature 'Vladik' in honor of the city's name, residents were not particularly fond of the ferocious feline visitor and remained inside their homes for fear of encountering the beast.

The panic was so profound and the danger so real that Russian authorities were eventually forced to intervene, tracking down Vladik by way of a remarkably robust search using drones and other advanced equipment. Upon being taken into custody, the 'terror of Vladivostok' was transported to a Russian national park more than 400 miles away and a sense of peace returned to the city.

Alas, like so many silver screen stories told in the past, Vladik wasn't finished with the city it briefly called home and set about revisiting the community that had turned their back on him. The determined tiger managed to travel hundreds of miles across Russia and eventually arrived in the outskirts of Vladivostok on the anniversary of its original campaign of terror in the city.

During his journey, Vladik also slayed three Himalayan black bears either for sustenance or simply because they were standing in the way of the big cat's quest to get back to Vladivostok.

However, when he finally arrived at his destination, the tiger's tale took a twist as the creature merely lingered near Vladivostok, but opted not to enter the heart of the city. Trackers watching his movements say that Vladik has since ventured away from the area, suggesting that it was either afraid of being captured or, in an ending we hope is the case, had forgiven the residents of Vladivostok as a result of life lessons learned along the way.

12.) Food

Food symbolizes energy, knowledge or nourishment and is directly related to our intellect, emotions and spirituality...
because it nourishes the body just as information nourishes the brain. However, it could just be food. lol
Food can also be a manifestation of idioms like, “food for thought,” and reveal that we may be “hungry” for new
information and insights.

On this day in 1981, a black-footed ferret, a creature previously thought extinct, was found in Wyoming.
On November 6th, 1993, the world's largest peanut butter and jelly sandwich was created in the town of Peanut, PA.
A whopping 40 ft. long, it contained 150lbs of peanut butter and 50lbs of jelly!

Feisty Skunk 'Backs off' Cougar:

A man driving near a conservation area in Canada captured a remarkable encounter between a cougar and a rather feisty skunk.
Greg Shyba spotted the strange exchange as he passed through the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area in Alberta.

In the awesome video, shot from the safety of Shyba's car, a solitary skunk can be seen trotting down a dirt road as a hungry-looking mountain lion suddenly darts out from the nearby brush. The two creatures appear to run alongside each other for a brief stretch, likely sizing the other animal up, before the skunk pulls off a surprising move by charging at the cougar!

No doubt taken aback by the aggressive maneuver and possibly by a scent-based attack by the surly skunk, the startled cougar dashes back into the tall grass seemingly content with now just watching Shyba's car. However, the skunk was apparently not finished with the big cat as the diminutive, black and white creature appears out ofnowhere to give the cougar one more scare and send it running away from the area.

Pickled Heart May Provide Answer to Legendary Music Mystery:

A team of researchers in Europe believe that they may have solved the mystery of legendary composer Frederic Chopin's death by examining the musician's pickled heart.

When the iconic pianist passed away in 1849 at the young age of 39, the cause of his death baffled medical experts and has continued to confound historians to this day.

A vast array of possible reasons for Chopin's mystifying death have been proposed by researchers over the years, but a new study seems to have gotten to the literal heart of the matter. Scientists looking into the case were able to actually examine the composer's heart, which had been removed from his body upon death and placed in a cognac-filled jar.

According to their findings, the heart appears to contain features which give a clear indication, based on modern scientific knowledge, that Chopin died from
complications related to tuberculosis. Fortunately, they were able to make this conclusion by simply looking at the heart in the jar and not disturbing the organ by opening the container, which they say would destroy it.

To that end, the fact that it still exists at all is rather amazing, since it has been on quite the journey over the last 168 years.
Following Chopin's death, his pickled heart was actually secretly smuggled from Paris to Poland where it was hidden inside a church.

Incredibly, much like the famed Amber Room, the composer's heart eventually fell into the hands of the ***** during World War II before it was given back to the church at the conclusion of the conflict.

It was 61 years ago tonight that Mon-Ka of Mars (via contactee Dick Miller) requested certain radio frequencies be cleared at 10:30pm so a message to the people of Los Angeles could be sent from their craft 10,000 miles above. A tongue-in-cheek AP story publicized the event and 2 radio stations went off the air as a gimmick. Alas, Mon-Ka was a no-show.

UFO Chicken Coop 'Lands' in Idaho:

An Idaho couple with an affinity for aliens has built an amazing tribute to UFO lore in their backyard by way of a flying saucer-shaped chicken coop.

The remarkable structure was fashioned out of a pair of repurposed satellite dishes and, lest one was worried about the chickens living inside, is actually climate controlled in order to keep the birds warm during the winter.

In addition to some portholes atop the coop and lights circling the 'UFO,' the Boise-based couple also hopes to add an automated ramp to the 'craft.'

Although a video showcasing their work has become somewhat a viral hit, how the chickens feel about the kooky coop is a mystery.
Let's just hope the birds do not harbor any fears of being abducted by aliens, otherwise they may find their new home to be a rather nightmarish place to live.

Young Man in Russia Claims to be a Reincarnated Martian: ( pppffftt...yeah right!)

A young man in Russia has become somewhat of a sensation thanks to his claims that he can recall living on Mars in a past life.
Boriska Kipriyanovich initially stunned doctors and experts when he was only two years old and purportedly possessed the ability to both read and write.

However, his story became even more fantastic as the boy began to grow older and started sharing stunning details about what he says was a past life on Mars as well as knowledge of the solar system that he had never been taught in school.

According to Kipriyanovich, his previous incarnation had been that of an interstellar pilot who lived on Mars during tumultuous times towards the end of civilization on the Red Planet. The remaining Martians, he says, were forced to retreat underground due to a nuclear war with the hopes of someday rebuilding their world.

Somewhere along the way, Kipriyanovich's Martian incarnation passed away and then reemerged by way of the Russian child who could somehow remember his previous experiences. Beyond life on Mars, the young man, now aged 20, alleges that there is some kind of hidden message contained within the Great Sphinx, but that it is locked away and unable to be seen at this time.

Should humanity be able to solve the riddle of the ancient monument, Kipriyanovich declares, it will be an Earth-shattering moment which will profoundly change our very existence on this planet.

Alas, however, Kipriyanovich in unable to articulate the precise mechanism by which the Sphinx can be opened, only that there is a 'switch' of sorts contained in the paw of the statue.

Whether we'll ever be able to access this secret part of the Sphinx remains to be seen as does the veracity of Kipriyanovich's tale as a whole, since skeptics insist that he has fabricated the reincarnation saga.

Thai Village Grapples with Ghost:

A series of strange deaths over the last week have left a village in Thailand suspecting that a notorious ghost may be lurking in their community.
Since October 29th, four men, a handful of household pets, and even a buffalo have died under mysterious circumstances which some residents believe could be supernatural in nature.

Specifically, they worry that the spate of deaths were caused by an infamous Thai ghost known as a 'phi pob,' a particularly pernicious female spirit that feasts on the organs of its victims. In response to the odd incidents and ghostly concerns, the community banded together in an attempt to crowd source a solution to the problem.

A whopping 370 families each contributed a few dollars to a fund which eventually totaled around $1,400 dollars and was used to hire an alleged paranormal specialist to visit the village.

Alternatively described by one media outlet as a "famous ghostbuster,' while another simply called him a "hermit," this mysterious individual performed a ritual in the village which purportedly captured an astounding 30 phi pobs! The 'ghostbusting hermit' allegedly managed to ensnare the spirits in bamboo tubes which were subsequently burned during the two-hour ritual which was overseen by police and government officials.

Although the ceremony appeared to bring peace back to the village, the sense of comfort was sadly short-lived as another man seemingly fell victim to what must have been the 31st phi pob* that was presumably out of town during the ritual the previous day.

*Phi pop (Thai: ผีปอบ; rtgs: phi pop), a ghost which eats raw meat. Humans and animals can be possessed by phi pop which eat their internal organs, killing them.

In response to the hysteria which has now gripped the village, the Thai government has dispatched a number of health workers to visit the area in an attempt to find a genuine medical reason for the deaths and dispel the rumors that they were caused by vengeful ghosts.
It is uncertain as to whether or not the villagers will get their money back from the ghostbuster or if he'll simply be receiving some seriously critical Yelp reviews from the disgruntled customers.

The Great Northeast Blackout of 1965 happened on this day, with nine states, as well as two provinces of Canada, hit by a series of power failures that lasted up to 13 hours. In New York City, 800,000 people were caught in the subways, when the blackout struck at rush hour. Though the cause was blamed on human error, many UFO sightings occurred the same night over the area, suggesting to some that their presence was connected to the blackout

Dead Grasshopper Discovered in Van Gogh Painting:

An examination of Van Gogh works at a Kansas City museum yielded a surprising find when one worker spotted the body of a grasshopper embedded in one of the legendary artist's paintings.

The dead bug, which has seemingly been hiding in plain sight for over a century, was noticed by a conservator named Mary Schafer when she was taking a magnified look at a painting titled 'Olive Trees.'

Much to her surprise, the amplified look at the artwork revealed the remains of a grasshopper that had seemingly gotten stuck in the paint as the work was being created.

According to art experts, the newfound grasshopper is a remarkable example of Van Gogh's painting process which saw the artist often working outdoors.
This somewhat unorthodox method resulted in a number of natural elements, like dust and other insects, finding their way onto the painter's canvas as he worked.

Unfortunately for art or insect aficionados hoping to catch a glimpse of the grasshopper during a visit to the museum, its tiny nature makes the bug rather difficult to discern without the aid of a magnifying glass.

TV Psychics Under Fire in Russia:

The popularity of paranormal TV programs in Russia has raised the ire of the country's skeptics and scientists who are crying foul over some psychics' newfound celebrity. Over the last few years, shows such as the awesome-sounding 'Battle of the Clairvoyants' have captivated Russian TV viewers and have turned some of the participants into household names, much to the chagrin of critics. A pair of particularly aggrieved critics, Alexander Panchin and Mikhail Lidin, say that the programs are misleading the public about the powers purportedly being displayed by self-described psychics.

Beyond producing their own YouTube videos said to debunk the now-famous psychics, they have also challenged the 'celebrity clairvoyants' to a prove their abilities in test akin to that of famous skeptic James Randi. But perhaps more troubling than these tactics is that Lidin has called for a disclaimer to air at the beginning of the shows to inform viewers that they are merely entertainment.

Whether or not that comes to pass remains to be seen, it is an indication of a brewing backlash against paranormal beliefs in Russia.
Earlier this year, the country's Education Ministry actually condemned the clairvoyant competition show by way of an 'anti-prize' during an otherwise celebratory awards ceremony.

They are also considering creating an award which will honor skeptics who manage to debunk the reality show psychics as well as other "achievements in unmasking pseudo-science." While one may wish to offer up a rejoinder about how these psychics should have foreseen such developments, the potential for persecution surroundingthe paranormal in Russia is no laughing matter, despite how hilarious 'Battle of the Clairvoyants' may sound.

13.) House

Houses frequently represent the dreamer’s mind. Different levels or rooms may relate to difference aspects of the individual dreamer and different degrees of consciousness. The basement often represents what has been neglected, or what the dreamer is not aware of in his or her waking life, while bedrooms relate to intimate thoughts and feelings — those closest to the dreamer’s core self.
Houses can host many common dream symbols, but the building as a whole represents your inner psyche. Each room or floor can symbolize different emotions, memories and interpretations of meaningful events.

Stray Cat Suspected of 'Attempted Murder' in Japan:

An investigation into a gruesome attack on an elderly woman in Japan has led to a surprising suspect in the case: a stray cat.
After Mayuko Matsumoto was discovered with nearly two dozen cuts on her face, police theorized, due to the severity of the incident, that someone had tried to kill her.

Since the 82-year-old woman cannot speak and the intruder left no signs of entry at her home, authorities were left baffled by what seemed to be a bizarre murder attempt. However, a break in case came when they observed that the woman's wounds closely resembled what one might receive if they were scratched by a particularly vicious cat.

This led police to consider that perhaps the perpetrator was not a person after all and their suspicions were strengthened when they spotted several stray cats lingering near Matsumoto's house. And, in a fine bit of detective work, it appears that authorities may have even found the feline in question as one of the cats actually had looked to be blood on its claws.

Investigators hope to test the blood to determine if, indeed, it was the cat who committed the heinous crime. Should it be confirmed, one can assume that the cat will face swift justice, so let's just hope that the cops either have it in custody or are keeping an eye on the creature in case it tries to make a run for it.

Flat Earth Fans Flock to NC:

The first-ever Flat Earth International Conference drew advocates for the controversial idea from across the globe with some making the journey from as far away as the UK. Organizers say that a jaw-dropping 525 tickets were sold well in advance of the event and that the total attendance of Flat Earth fans in town for the festivities was likely far more than that.

Although the array of speakers and presentations were no doubt enticing to the attendees, simply being among fellow Flat Earth travelers seems to have been what brought many of them to the event. For a couple of day in Cary, the Flat Earth theory was king and that meant that they were free to debate the details of the concept rather than argue with friends and family about the idea.

Already enthusiastic about the growing popularity of the often-ridiculed conspiracy theory, the tremendous success of the event was, no doubt, an affirmation for many that they are 'not alone' on this purportedly flat Earth.

Let's just hope that one of the topics at the event centered around the right and wrong ways of spreading awareness of the theory, lest we see more unfortunate graffiti campaigns from fired-up Flat Earth fans. (The ancient Scriptures say that the Earth is an "Orb," that's good enough for me!)

Ghost Smashes Glass at UK Pub?:

Security camera footage from a pub in England shows a glass suddenly explode for no apparent reason, raising suspicions that perhaps the establishment is haunted. The eerie incident occurred at the Fox Eating and Drinking House as a patron was standing at the bar enjoying a beer.

Out of nowhere and only inches from his hand, the glass simply bursts, sending the man reeling backward in shock.
A similar response can be heard from workers at the pub watching the video when the see the spooky moment unfold.
As to the source of the strange event, one of the co-owners of the establishment believes that it confirms her feelings that the pub had a resident ghost of some kind.

According to Claire Kacy, she has had numerous strange experiences since taking over the business a few years ago, including chairs and shelves inexplicably moving on their own. However, the pub does not seem to have any ghostly lore previously attached to it, making the true source of the perceived presence all the more mysterious.

While skeptics will scoff at the video and attribute it to a natural event at best or trickery at worst, Kacy claims that the footage is genuine and that she cannot explain what happened. And, in her defense, while boasting that one's pub is haunted may sound like a good idea, selling the concept by way of exploding glasses probably isn't the wisest marketing scheme.

Secret Planet X Probe to be Launched by SpaceX?:

Conspiracy theorists concerned about what they believe to be the impending arrival of the rogue planet Niburu say SpaceX will soon launch a secret probe to study the infamous world. The fantastic claims purportedly come from an anonymous insider at the company who boasts that he has known the enigmatic SpaceX founder Elon Musk for a decade.

According to this alleged whistleblower, the billionaire harbors a hidden obsession with Nibiru and, as such, was enlisted by global powerbrokers for a clandestine Planet X research project. Specifically, it is said that SpaceX will launch a Falcon 9 rocket containing a classified satellite designed to track the trajectory of Niburu as it heads towards the Earth.

This probe, outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment, will attempt to decipher when the impact of Nibiru might be felt on our planet and what kind of catastrophes its arrival may cause. As to why Musk was asked to aid the secret government group, the source contends that his motivations are not altogether altruistic, since the billionaire was promised protection of some kind after Planet X wreaks havoc on our world.

However, skeptics say that the admittedly secretive launch scheduled for Wednesday and dubbed 'Project Zuma' is being done under the auspices of a defense contractor using the services of SpaceX and that there is nothing particularly nefarious about the exchange. Beyond that, they also argue that there is no Nibiru and, therefore, a secret plan to study the notorious home of the Annunaki simply does not exist.

In light of the fact that multiple predictions for Nibiru's nightmarish arrival have failed to come to fruition, one would be wise to believe the skeptics even though a scenario involving SpaceX saving Earth from Planet X does sound pretty awesome.

And, much like its proverbial doppelganger in Egypt, the Temple of Kukulkan apparently boasts some secrets which we are still just discovering today.
By way of a ground penetrating radar scan of the site, researchers spotted a heretofore unknown tunnel that is believed to have been sealed during the construction of the structure in the distant past.

Based on its subterranean location, it is theorized that the passageway connects to a natural water-filled sinkhole that was also discovered beneath the temple a few years ago. Remarkably, researchers say that they actually aim to open the passageway soon and venture inside to see where it leads.

Their decision to unseal the tunnel is a far cry from plans for the hidden chamber recently found inside the Great Pyramid which will likely remain out of reach until a robot can be sent to explore it.

While it's unlikely that explorers will unearth anything resembling long lost Mayan treasures or anything of that nature, there is hope that the passageway could provide a wealth of insight into the complex subsurface layout of the legendary site.
(For everyone's sake, let's just hope they don't go into the tunnel and wind up finding another Mayan calendar.)

Today in Strangeness: November 16th...

November 16th stands as a key date for a pair of staples in the world of conspiracy theory. On this date in 1914, the Federal Reserve opened its doors as the
quasi-national bank in the United States, much to the chagrin of many who saw it as a dangerous consolidation of power. Thirty-one years later, in 1945, Project Paperclip saw the United States "import" 88 German scientists to assist in rocket development. Many in the parapolitical research community point to this dubious event as the start of an infiltration of America by darker forces.

Territorial Turtle Torments Owners:

A family in England are having second thoughts about their decision to adopt a pet turtle after the creature seemingly claimed their backyard as its territory has taken to violently defending its turf. The trouble began when John French spotted the rambunctious reptile ramming its head against a glass aquarium at a garden center.

Clearly taken with the turtle, the dad decided to bring the creature, now dubbed 'Timmy,' home to join the French family.
The newly-adopted pet seemed to be adjusting well to a domesticated life at first, but the John and his wife soon noticed something odd about the animal.

It would appear that, after frequently being set free to roam in the family's backyard, Timmy has taken over the area and refuses to let anyone venture into his space. A rather amazing video of his antics shows the turtle aggressively attacking objects placed in the yard and scurrying after John's foot when he gets 'too close' to the shelled menace.

Lest one think that Timmy is merely being playful, when the creature catches his gob smacked owner, the turtle can be seen attempting to take a bite out of his foot! Although suddenly having a turtle that serves as a proverbial guard dog sounds like it might be pretty cool, for the French family, the problem is twofold.

Due to Timmy's refusal to allow anyone to enter the backyard, they can no longer host their children's birthday parties at the home for fear of guests running afoul of the angry turtle.

Additionally, since turtles boast a considerably long lifespan, the family have conceded that they could be stuck with Timmy for nearly a century and, by then, who knows how much more territory the creature will have claimed...(lol...I actually have a pet turtle in my backyard..."Mr. T," looks to be a little larger than "Timmy."...but Mr. T is non-aggressive and gets along with everyone!)

Would you cross the world’s highest and longest glass bridge?:

Whoa! At 430 meters long and 300 meters high, the Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge is a sight to see. The bottom where tourists walk is made from glass. It looks incredible; but just how safe is it?
