Lets see, will he be "good" by year 10 and maybe "great" by year 15?

No need for anybody to get banned, while don't you guys just do a sig bet. Say, the winner gets to pick the loser's sig until training camp starts.

I won so many sig bets against Hostile back in the day, I literally lost count...............He was such an easy mark too with his Garrett worship.

I think JG has at least the 2018 season locked down, unless something unthinkable happens like we lose all of our remaining games.

My money says he's around for AT LEAST one more season.

Not saying I love it or hate it, just what I think will happen.

Said this repeatedly, JG needs better talents and the right circumstances to do well in a regular season. He gets out-coached in the post season by better ones. His team can NOT overcome key injuries and over-hypes.

It's curious. @hartline mentioned this. If Jerry is getting hurt in the bottom line with retail sales (he has exclusive retail rights), and he's VERY awere of this, he might make a change. He is a businessman. Give hope for the Christmas spending season which he benefits from. Ya never know. He's very asute and on top of things, less sales equals less $$ and you know him.

There’s a lot of truth here. Fans have a tendency to make Garrett into a sexier, more scandalous figure than he actually is. Nothing during his seven year tenure would suggest he is the second coming of Bill Belichick or Mike Shula. He’s neither good nor bad. He’s mediocre in a league full of mediocrity.

I disagree. He is horrid. Bad as bad gets. The fact that he has had two franchise QB's back to back and some incredible talent to work with has really masked his shortfalls.

And what pushes him over from mediocre to bad for me are the actually good coaches he's run off from this organization because he felt threatened.

Guys like Dan Reeves and Bill Callahan. Guys that actually took teams to Super Bowls.

I know, but this season - and collapse - is far from over yet.

Yep......At some point, Jerry will have enough. But he has to feel sooo embarrassed to get there. The only way I see that happening is if we continue to lose at an embarrassing rate.

But what scares me the most is all the built in excuses this year.
