i think hes starting to see how the league is screwing us over in other ways. IE no holding calls on other teams EVER!!!

Step 1: Eagles DB hammers Dez in the Endzone, 8 yards off the line of scrimmage

Step 2: Al Michaels receives a text from NFL Front Office

Step 3: Michaels says on air "Looks like Offensive PI to me!"

lol, this is amusing. You guys are inventing determinations of the situation that aren't even supported.

This is like seeing a guy walk in a room with a bat and claiming he beats his wife because of the bat. What the hell? hah

Get off the crackpipe.

The Owners created the Golem. Now the Golem has more power over the owners than he should have.

Only problem is, that only a few Owners have felt this power enough to make a stink about it.

Wait another year or two and you will have a few more owners feel how the power of this Golem change the fortunes of their team and wallet.

Nobody to blame but themselves.

I'm almost looking forward to the strike/lockout. I can use a year off from this garbage. Or longer.
i honestly think that will be the time goodell kills himself. if the players dont take away his god status and dont strike, league is doomed. also if goodell costs the owners more than one game not budging youll see how fast they turn on him.

Let's presume it is. Goodell is then a liar and so he got what he deserved. His treatment of the Zeke situation has been piss poor and a charade for PC purposes against all credible evidence.
I don't disagree with this but I also don't believe for one second Jerry's "fight" isn't about Zeke and having more control.

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/jerry-jones-says-he-wont-sue-nfl-over-roger-goodells-contract/

from the article:

Last week, the NFL sent a letter to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones accusing hims of "conduct detrimental to the league" after Jones threatened to sue the other owners if they approved commissioner Roger Goodell's new contract.

It was the latest escalation between the league and Jones, a schism that appears to have origins in Goodell's decision to suspend Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Elliott for six games.

But on Tuesday, Jones abruptly dropped the idea of a lawsuit.

According to a letter from Jones to Falcons owner and chair of the compensation committee Arthur Blank obtained by the New York Times, Jones' initial concern was that only those owners on the compensation committee had a say in Goodell's contract; he wanted every owner to have "a voice in approving the terms." And now that, in Jones' view, the committee "is receiving valuable feedback from a number of owners," he is "standing down from my threat of litigation against the committee."
Don't think it would have gotten anywhere quite frankly...

It is about Zeke and it isn’t. Goodell lied to Jerry about the Zeke suspension for his own advantage (compensation committee) and I think that angered him more than anything. Think about it. Goodell felt comfortable enough to lie to Jerry, someone who had supported him for his entire tenure, and he knew he would get away with it. Billionaires lie, but don’t like being lied to.

The NFL has created a monster in that man.

the ignorance in this thread is immense. So many here have no clue at all how things are done when you are talking major corporations and billionaires and so on. its all tactical maneuvering; move and counter move.
