Jerry Jones not ready to address Dez's future

He's the 11th most targeted player in the league with 22nd in receptions. Even Aikman mentioned it in the broadcast. So obviously there is a point.

The game was going fine until he twice lost the momentum.
He had 6 targets. You said things were going dine until we forced him thr ball. Dez had an awful game. No two ways about it. But saying we forced him the ball yesterday, as you did, is just a lie.

Also, yes, Dez is the 11th most targeted player in football. Looking at targets alone is an elementary level analysis. From 2012-2014 Dez had 70% of his passes deemed "catchable." the last two years that number has fallen to 59.6%. Can you identify what's changed? I can.

Dez’s drops yesterday and fumble are totally on him. However he will never reach his full potential nor will any WR with a mobile version of Trent Dilfer at QB.

Dez and Dak just are not a good match. Dez gets frustrated early by not getting the ball and then lets it affect him the rest of the game.
Ouch. Trent differ.

I think Dez quit on Dak. The pick yesterday was thrown well behind Dez. Not making excuses for either of them as the ball should’ve been thrown more accurately but easily should’ve been catched by Dez.

Quite a few times this season if the ball is off the mark, Dez doesn’t even make an effort to catch it anymore.

The downfall of Dez has been because of Dak in my opinion. Romo still threw the ball open to Dez even if he was covered like a blanket. Seems like Dak needs to see his WRs open before he makes the attempt.

They forced the ball to Dez, but not for the entire game because it was a disaster. What do you not get about that? They stopped when they saw it was a disaster.

Today is one of the first games where I felt had Dez not played, we would have won. When we have to force it to him it goes bad 50% of the time.

When did they force it to him?

Dropped pass - wide open.
Fumble - wide open.
Int - wide open.
Huge gain - desperation throw by Dak.

Is throwing to wide open receivers now considered "forcing?"

I do, but I don't to like catch fish for people when they can fish themselves.

You guys do this all the time. Throw out sayings and when asked with facts to back it up, you deflect.

maybe dez wants out and thinks if he causes enough trouble he will get his way if I was his age playing for the cowboys I would be looking for a way out

So they passed it to him once and were like that's enough forcing the ball? Was it twice? He caught half of his targets.

So after which if the 3 in completions were they like let's stop forcing the ball?

What you're arguing just doesn't make sense.

The trouble with the whole targeting number (3 completion in 6 attempts) is that we do not know how many times Dez was the first read and an attempt wasn't even made, which could cause the QB to have to hold the ball and hope another receiver is either open before the pass protection breaks down.

1 drop, 1 fumble nearly consecutively and a nothing.
Time to go somewhere else.

Or you can continue to force it...

dez, TWill, witten and garrett isn't going anywhere next season. It will be was, rinse, repeat formula.

This team is so poorly constructed. Way too much money in average receivers on a team that is supposed to be run first

No... that's a cop out from someone who doesn't like to look at the light and just ask others for info.

I watched the game. I saw no forcing. Please provide an example so I can have an idea of what you guys consider forcing. Right now it just appears you think it is throwing to wide open receivers.

The game was yesterday and it seems to have your really irked, so providing an example to support your argument should be easy.

If you're incapable, then you're just lying.

Dez will go somewhere else and be a monster. He needs a qb that can anticipate throws and be accurate.

What we need is speed wrs that get wiiiide open for Dak. Thats our future.

Yes. A full on psychotic head case monster. Great point.

Dak Prescott will not progress as a quarterback until the Cowboys get rid of Dez Bryant.

With Dez here, Prescott has to constantly force him the ball to avoid sideline histrionics. And when Dez does get the ball, he either drops it, fumbles it, or tips it in the air for the other team to intercept.

Then the "Dak Prescott is awful" threads begin.
