you have to trade for earl Thomas. Make it happen and the secondary will be improved. I don’t care if he’s 29. He’s a monster and a difference maker.

And he wants to be here

They'll want us to take Sherman off their hands too. I'd still do it. Dez and OScan for Thomas and Sherman.

As a Hawks fan and playing “GM” it would cost Zach Martin + high draft picks. .....and yes that’s a severely steep price, but if you want quality you have to give some up in return.

You are talking the best free safety in the game when healthy.

Seattle doesn’t trade him if they don’t get their price, you’re not getting a potential HOF’er for spare parts and low draft picks.

Fans always drastically overrate their own player's trade value.

Players with 1 year on their contract have limited value unless they're a QB.

So you would give up Thomas and high draft picks for Martin? Because Martin is the best player by far in this hypothetical deal.

lol good one! This is the time of season when draft picks get over valued compared to proven talent...

I’d give them a 2nd and 4th

A 25 year old Martin who is fixing to hit his prime on top of top draft picks lmao thanks for the laugh

Lol. Let’s just wait for him after next season then.

I wonder if the Seahawks would take a 1st rounder for Thomas? Future Hall of famer still in his prime asks his favorite home team to trade for him, you do it. He would probably give the Cowboys one of the best secondaries in the league and provide some much needed leadership...

As noted 29y old players with $10m left on their contract who do not play QB do not come expensive, you do not need to give up a 1st, especially the 19th overall pick, you are probably looking at a pick no higher than 3rd. The main reason is age and contract if Thomas is not offered a new deal by Seattle and they are happy to let him walk in 2019 they will get a comp pick for him but not until 2020, Seattle has a lot of $$ tied up in its defence and a lot of these players are not getting any younger. Seattle would prefer to get several of these contracts of their books and given a choice would prefer draft pick in 2018 rather than 2020, which would be lot better than any comp pick they would get in 2020.

I'd consider Martin or a 1st straight up for Thomas but not both.

Make a splash at 19:Calvin Ridley,WR-Alabama or break recent tradition...Maurice Hurst,DT-Michigan.

Best safety in the game 5 years ago. "When healthy" is more of an issue these days and he'll only get older.

For that price, they can keep him.
