I've said this for about 8 years now, no one's listening, by that I mean the Cowboys front office. We need a disruptive 320 lb DT to take on blocks and push the pocket. Taco es bueno.

What intrigues me about Taco is how big he is. He is 6'6" and 275 and looks skinny when on the field! A year in the weight room and this dude could be a monster. Time will tell, but I like his frame.
Other then QB.... We know how you feel..... What would be some targets you would go after in free agency and the draft if you were G.M of the cowboys.I thought you'd like that.
Add Irving in the middle and our DL is in better shape than it has been for quite some time
With the way he finished, Taco's trajectory looks very similar to Lawrence who closed his rookie year strong and followed up with a very good 8 sack season the next year. One of the positives out of this season is I'm stating to believe the Cowboys may have finally found two quality starting DEs for the future. Assuming Lawrence has turned a corner and not just playing for a contract and, of course, Taco continues to develop.
I just couldn't help thinking as I watched Taco play well down the stretch that this team's days searching for edge pressure are over. They still have work to do inside but the edges may be in better shape than it's been in years, in terms of starting players.
A lot of people have pointed out the two rookie corners and their future. Can't argue with that, they both look legit to me, but I'm more focused on the dogs that hunt. Lawrence was a revelation this year. The arrow is up on Taco and his skill set really is a perfect compliment on the other side.
Who agrees with me? Who thinks I'm just being an insufferable homer once again?
I think Lawrence is the RDE because he is the better player right now. If Taco can grow into a 10 sack capable player, I think he isntuw better fit at RDE. There are alot similarities in athletic profile to players like Hardy and JPP. Taco would have the strength and quickness to be able to attack out of a 7 gap in a consistent basis. This is like homework.
Lawrence is my RE, of course. Irving starts at the 3 and plays all over really. I would hope the starting 1 isn't on the roster right now.

Don’t forget Randy Gregory.....

I can agree with you there. Seems like the backup receivers will get some playing time Sunday. Not sure it will help much but either way I think receiver is an issue we need to look at.I haven't even looked at a FA list yet but I want LBs. I'd be very interested in a WR too.
I sure hope you are right !!!!One of the positives out of this season is I'm stating to believe the Cowboys may have finally found two quality starting DEs for the future. Assuming Lawrence has turned a corner and not just playing for a contract and, of course, Taco continues to develop.

Poe and Logan just signed 1-year contracts...Need to sign/draft a legitimate updrade at DT. Poe, Logan and Jernigan were all available this past offseason. Must jump on the opportunity if a similar quality player is available this year (2018). Then preferably draft another DE in the 2nd-4th round. Gotta be realistic and accept that the team won't draft another DE in the 1st after Taco last year, franchising Lawrence and placing a 1st round tender on Irving.
