News: BST: Jones Says Coaching Changes Coming to Cowboys

So because this organization has had other bad HCs we should be forced to tolerate and not speak out against the current incompetent moron?

Yeah, that is great logic

Is that all you took from my post? You actually think it was about defending Garrett?

He actually was sadly.

Imagine what he could’ve done if he got to pick his offensive coordinator.
He was put into a very bad situation. Not only did he not get to pick his coordinator, he basically got an inexperienced one that he didn't know from Adam.

Little did he know the little backstabber would eventually work his way into taking his job.

Just because Jerry has his own issues doesn’t mean Garrett isn’t a mediocre coach and should be replaced.

When I see that list what that tells me is Jerry needs to hire a search firm to find the next coach.

He sucks at hiring coaches.

Which is exactly what I was pointing out. Has nothing to do with Garrett.

Yep. At least we can say that Wade was a football man. He knows the game. And he is one hell of a DC. Garrett couldnt coach his way out out of paper bag. He all but sabotaged Wades tenure. Its been documented and confirmed. If he had a real OC things might have been very different.

Now I would not want Wade to be my head coach, but he is better than the useless clappy the clown.

  • Jason Garrett: Head coach from 2008 until present. He has made two playoff appearances with a 1-2 record.
  • Wade Phillips: Head coach from 2007 until 2010. He made two playoff appearances with a 1-2 record.
  • Bill Parcells: Head coach from 2003 until 2007. He made two playoff appearances with a 0-2 record.
  • Dave Campo: Head coach from 2000 until 2002. He had no playoff appearances.
  • Chan Gailey: Head coach from 1998 until 2000. He had two playoff appearances with a 0-2 record.
  • Barry Switzer: Head coach from 1994 until 1997. He had three playoff appearances with a 5-2 record and a Super Bowl win.
  • Jimmy Johnson: Head coach from 1989 until 1993. He had three playoff appearances with a 7-1 record and two Super Bowl wins.
  • Tom Landry: Head coach from 1960 until 1989. He had 18 playoff appearances with a 20-16 record and two Super Bowl wins.

Barry Switzer got the privilege of inheriting back to back SB champs and most of Jimmy Johnson's staff. I could've stood on the sidelines wearing a headset and from '94-97 and earned at least one ring.

I like JJOnes as a person and also have to see trends that are unacceptable. I back Red because I want off this cycle of suffering.
In two years Garrett better get it done. Some will say thats unacceptable. I do not fight the immutable nature of reality.
How many marijuanas did you smoke today?

Wade was much better than Garrett. Same playoff results in half the tenure. The press clowned him cause he was a folksy fat guy, whereas Garrett was the Ivy League Golden Boy. Problem is, only one of these guys knows how to coach football

It's intentional. Jerry trying to win with a HC that won't overshadow him who he gives limited control and power to. If Jerry was actually interested in hiring quality HC's he never would've hired Switzer, Gailey, Campo, Wade or Garrett. He didn't hire these guys because he's incompetent and sucks at hiring coaches. He hired them because they were willing to work with the restrictions he put on them and wouldn't steal his limelight while he meddled.

The best thing for Jones would be seeing empty seats at AT&T stadium. Those days are fast approaching. The fan base whether they post on here or not is completely fed up with the lack of playoff success since 1995.

Wade probably is better than Garrett, but it's a little deceiving. Just like with Switzer, Wade inherited a team that someone else built before ultimately destroying it.

I don’t know. Wades team wasn’t exactly stacked to the rafters with talent either. And Parcells wasn’t known for his drafting (looking at you Bobby Carpenter).

Ppl have to accept that Wade is a good coach. The proof is in the pudding—he has done well every place he’s been.

Would have been better if the Jones-Garrett duo would have let him bring in Reeves like he wanted to.

Exactly.

Wade had to fight his moron GM to control his own staff (that he didn’t hire). The cards were stacked against him from day 1. Jerry couldn’t wait to promote Garrett
