I find it interesting that the Cowboys are losing coaches with no real replacements

Didn't you hear? We hired our QB coach just the other day.

Here's a job on this staff, whoops I forgot we were letting this staff go, sorry!

Moore is use to that anyway, so it's no big deal! Practice squad, cut, active roster, cut, practice squad....lol.

the Cowboys are losing assistant coaches left and right with no real replacements...yet. My instincts tell me that there is a plan afoot at The Star that will bring in a NEW HC this offseason. Because of this, it makes perfect sense to let most of the current assistant coaches walk (while many think they will eventually be replaced by new Garrett hires) and Garrett, out of some sort of respect for him, will be let go last.

I do think there is some legitimacy to the Bellicheat-to-Dallas story.
This isn't all that rare.
A lot of these moves were known in house.
Kellen Moore was always going to eventually be a QB Coach here; with Dak's regression it was just time to move on from Wade.
Dooley refused to sign his extension last year and he's a guy who's been a head coach in the SEC. He wanted more of a role than just coaching WRs.
It wasn't shocking he went back to the SEC as a playcaller.

Dallas has ideas about who will fill these spots but you do hope it's not all tribalism and they interview some outside candidates.

Honestly this is very telling about how the front office perceived these positions. Clearly not important enough to be spending time filling at this point of the year.
There's no one to coach right now.
They just did exit interviews.
All these moves which shock fans occurred AFTER Garrett met with his coaches to send them on break.
A lot of these guys were encouraged to move on. A couple wanted to leave.
But the team wasn't blindsided.
They are hoping to keep Eberflus but reality is the minds they most respected beyond coordinators were Kellen Moore and Sean Lee.

Basaccia is a Gruden guy and they got tons of great info from Gruden over the years so did him a solid and let Rich walk.

You want to know what is even worse than Garrett being here...his protege may be on the staff impersonating a QB coach in Kellen Moore...yes, you heard it here first...Kellen Moore will be the next HC of the Dallas Cowboys. It may be a few years, but it will happen....

Get in line, I was the first to predict that. I donned him Garrett 2.0 :flagwave:

The Cowboys can't talk to assistant coaches on remaining playoff teams. Maybe they plan on talking to them after the super bowl.

Maybe Hardline but here is the problem with that assumption. They’re are looking for positional coaches not coordinators. So anyone coming most likely would be taking a lateral move, which would involve them getting releases from there current team. And who would do that knowing that this current staff is going into a make it or be gone season.

Now what is probably going to happen is they will start interviewing coaches that have been let go this season.

There is some awesome but very cheap beach front property just down the road from here in western Kansas you should check out.
Send me your credit card info and I'll give you the full story..Guaranteed.

It could mean there’s no one reputable who wants to come with Garrett in a must win situation NEXT year but Belicheck will NEVER come to Dallas.

1) it’s been reported he can’t stand Jerry

Link?

Despite Jerry being Jerry, there will be a line of coaches looking to get hired by Dallas. You guys worry about nothing.

You can already tell that next year is already lost before it even begins....coaching staff in shambles....were hiring blue light special coaches who never coached before...seems Jerry is just putting anyone in place just to fill the position so it makes it easier to fire them all after we have another crap season...We are prepping for failure.

Go back to sleep and let us know how this dream ends.

I am hoping to hear they have already been talking to coaching talent, but decided to keep it out of the media... I think three weeks ago the die has been cast. Jerry's look at the HS state championship coaching compared to what he knew he had with the boys up in Frisco was not difficult to decipher.
I am in favor of keeping our DB coaches as the last couple of years it appears things have improved steadily.

Cowboys basically have no coaching anyway so I don't think any of them will be missed

1) it’s been reported he can’t stand Jerry
2) he has much closer ties to NYG
3) he has indirect ties to Garrett through Saban. He wouldn’t do that to him.
4) Jerry won’t go back on his word this year.
5) The entire DC FO believes this year was sabotaged solely because of Goodell and is giving everyone a pass.
6) Belicheck and Zeke would have problems with his Zekes personality from the feed me sign to his hair.
7) There’s nothing for him to add to his legacy by coming here. He
already took a very mediocre franchise and turned it to a dynasty. This would be cherry picking.

Number 3 is hilarious to me... Bellichek doesn’t give a peep about Garrett via some random, indirect ties.
