I wouldn't be totally against it. Oakland's defense has not been good in the past 3 years, but you have to remember that they had to totally revamp the entire team as it was a disaster for over 10 years prior to Del Rio coming there and I think they chose to put more focus on their offense than their defense. He had success as a D-Coordinator and perhaps he's a Wade Phillips type whose defenses lose their luster when he's the HC instead of the D-C.
