Oh he has been dealt a crappy hand for sure. Most of the guys he’s coached were Zach Miller, Heyward-Bey etc.

This guy has been part of some of the worst offenses in football. Some seasons the top receiver didn’t even top 750 yards. Now he wasn’t the offensive coach, so there is that. But man, talk about coaching up a bunch of nobodies.

And who were the QBs there? What was the offensive scheme? Did they even pass the ball a lot?

He’s not the one calling the plays, he’s not the one picking the players.

I have no clue if he is going to be a good coach. I don’t know anything about him but it’s naive, in my opinion, to pull up some stats and point the finger at an assistant coach without looking at all factors.

The fact that 5 straight teams felt he was qualified after meeting with him has to speak something for the guy. He’s been around a lot but assistants don’t usually stay with a team long, especially if the head coach is fired, which seems to be the case here.

Curious, why the lateral move? Isn't he the WR coach in Indy?

Their coach was canned, which I think means all the assistants also get canned. He's not really coming to us from Indy - he coached with Indy this season but he's on the street right now.
