Jaguars at Patriots: AFC Championship

Please stop. This stuff is stupid. You skipped that Jax got ball on iffy fumble call. Gronk call was completely correct and has been called the years. Left feet and hit head. Nothing to argue. The PI was obvious. WR has right to ball and DB grabbed arms and pushed him out. It wasn’t like he rode him to sideline. He mauled him. Called weekly. Brady just had 148 yards and 2 TDs in 4th with no Gronk, Edelman or run game vs #1 D. Stop whining at greatness

The rule states that you can't lead with the crown of your helmet. He didn't. So you stop. His shoulder hit him first in a bang bang play. And an iffy fumble? Hahahaha. Is that what you people call it nowadays. Give me a break with your crap.

You can get on your knees if you want. What I stated were facts. The Patriots were down, resorting to trick plays, and got bailed out, yet again, by two penalties that put them on the doorstep that led to seven points. Seven points that ended up deciding the game.

Well,if you were of a refined nature in the true capabilities of superior casing-liner's ,,,TO NOT COVET the AWESOME POWERS RESIDING WITHIN THAT 'WIZARD'S STICK',,, pretty much blinds you unto the true levels of power& greatness,,,, ye' of plebian natured posting abilities to boot,,,,might I add unto to thee 'knave' of appreciation,,,, yer' lack of foresight pointedly,,, er,,,points towards a rather dullard sense of BEING!,,,,
just saying, brother-friendo_O
Actually it's just not funny.......

Oh, you mean like “NE is going to run it here” with under 2 mins left in the game when they’re winning? Or what about all the other obvious calls that Ray Charles could see? He also was wrong at least 10 timea but I’m sure you fail to acknowledge that just like you fail to acknowledge he was a master choke artist.

I don't get the envy.

The Patriots are doing what this franchise used to do.

But there is a bunch of angry envious posts.

NE needs to go on with their bad selves. They are elite and need to roll on.

Like we used to.

Twenty plus years ago.

Great idea...Let's keep drinking.

Just a SLIGHT penalty disparity in this game. But I’m sure that’s just a coincidence

I don't know why the media is so in love with AR calling him the greatest . Tom Brady is the greatest and I can't stand him.

It is just amazing.

Just get over yourselves.

They are elite like they are right now and that is what we used to be.

I just wonder how many people were around and remember what that feeling was like.

I have defended the Pats over the years. My criticism isn't of them, it's the NFL and allowing owners to continue putting out a bad product. Can anyone here defend the Browns owner? Going 0-16 in the NFL, twice if I'm correct, should get someone removed. The same with teams who consistently get top 5-15 picks and can't get a franchise QB or, at the very least, a competent QB.

But a team getting 1 penalty in a chippy Championship game is suspect. I don't think it's bias, I think it's ref incompetence. Some want to just let the players play while others follow the rule book to the T.

I agree with the spirit of this post. But practically, its not good for the game for one team to have so much success for so long. In the AFCCG year after year. And winning the SB every other year or so if not back to back.

Gets pretty boring. Except for the fans in NE, of course. But that's about it.
Did it get boring when it was basically the Niners or Cowboys in the early 1990s?

How about the 1970s with the Steelers and Cowboys basically owning the decade?

But let's complain about another dynasty that we are just envious of because we are inept and can't even string together significant winning seasons back to back.

3rd and 18, please go back and watch how obvious the holding(s) was.

Hmmm yet here you are crying on the message board about him. Your remote is broken.

Hold on I’ll grab you a box of tissue.
I never denied he annoyed me, I said if he annoys me enough. Pay attention. Speaking of tissues, why don’t you send me a box from the case you have. Romo isn’t our QB anymore, get over it. He didn’t win any SB’s and he didn’t even win any conference championships. IMOF he only won two playoff games his entire career so you can stop defending him. Outside of homers like you he will always go down as a choke artist that couldn’t get it done but go ahead and blame the coaching...

If you don’t know the rules you shouldn’t post. Gronk was a defenseless WR coming down. Rule states

1) Forcibly hitting the defenseless player's head or neck area with the helmet, facemask, forearm, or shoulder, even if the initial contact is lower than the player's neck, and regardless of whether the defensive player also uses his arms to tackle the defenseless player by encircling or grasping

You’re wrong. Stop embarrassing yourself.

Nothing you said is correct....

Ok then tell me what is wrong about it.

I remember the day if you went over the middle or jumped up to make a catch you got lit up. That play wasn't helmet to helmet and Church didn't lead with the crown of his helmet.

Rule isn’t crown only. Read above. You’re wrong. Even Marrone said it was a penalty

Yes. It did get boring. Many times we would sit around wondering what the NFL was going to do about the absolute dominance of the 49ers and Cowboys for so long.

But NE is an entirely different animal. They have been throwing it down now for over 15 years. And what is this? Their 7th AFCCG appearance in a row?

Boring.

What was called on the field? Helmet to helmet or defenseless receiver. Because if it was helmet to helmet they got the call wrong and you are wrong.

Irregardless, both rules are terrible.
