Is anyone still pleased with the 6-0 win against the Iggles?

The league hasn't gone through the draft evaluation process yet. You have no clue which players will be desired and how. There's a good chance we lost a lot of value and will rue the day we won that game.
nope
all the players are grouped pretty evenly

I have run dozens of drafts as the 1st pick, 16th pick and 19 pick and the 30th pick

there are no players that jump out as must haves over others at any of those spots.... there are 10 good choices at each one

but it isn't just a function of this year(except for the top 5 guys that usually show themselves)

They were playing against unemployed cooks and bus boys. Of course they looked like they had more fight and grit. A Ferrari and a moped get into a race. If the Ferrari purposely never gets above 30 MPH and the moped wins, does that mean the moped showed more 'fight and grit'?

Garrett is a flippin' jackwagon who has no clue. They beat them 6-0 and he says he liked their fight and grit. Laughable.....
there are only 46 players in an NFL game and 53 on the roster

they were starters for the 1st half and some backups for the 2nd

Ajayi, Cox and Darby missed the game just like TSmith and D irving

give me break with busboys and cooks...... that is just the hyperbole of someone that doesn't know anything

Never take draft position for granted

Rice was available at 1-15

I don't see it that way. I see it as the difference in the 16th pick and the 19th pick. If you traded back from the 16th to the 19th you would pick up a 3rd or 4th maybe. So it does have value.
that is the perceived value and why it is smart to move back

we dropped from 18-31 and still got T Frederick plus a 3rd and got TWilliams

Dallas would've taken Rice if the niners didn't jump ahead. Lets say Dallas was picking a few spots higher. Maybe SF doesn't pull the trigger on a trade up if it's now a little too expensive or they can't find a trade partner.
That is revisionist history
Jerry Rice was the GOAT........ he should have been 1st ...... but the draft is a crapshoot .....which is my point

If it was a science a talent like his would NEVER fall to 15....... Jery Rice was a steal no matter where he drafted 1-256

I love the Cowboys more than I hate Philly. And you?
Rooting for draft position over Wins over rivals is not a way to show the quan

You Mock Fans like the Draft more than the Season because you think you have all this inside info and you will be the next Mel Kiper

I just root for my team to win every game it plays

Happy we won, because I hate the eagles, but it was ultimately meaningless. We weren't exactly playing the Eagles at full strength either.

Us mock fans....haha.

That's fine if you enjoyed our starters putting up 6 on their scrubs...too bad it didn't make the FO look any better.

I can't control the outcome......I just root for my team to win

Whether I am satisfied or not with the spread is up to the gamblers

Pleased isn't the way I would describe it.

I'm not disappointed in it, because I realize no matter who they had out there(and Cox did start, so I'm sure there were other starters), they still have a good defensive system and good defensive coaches.

So I'm not hanging my head because we only scored 6

I checked NFL stats, and will check again in few months, next year, and next decade (although I expect the same result)

All what I saw is a W .. There is no paragraph stating Philly played with their backups, and rested their starters, and Pat's better than Gino's yada yada yada .... I didn't see an asterisk as well .. so a W is W ..

The books will say we beat them in their house in 2017.

I, personally, didn't care about that game, but it was good to get out with a win

Like winning meaningless games meant absolutely nothing back in 2010, this win just screwed them out of draft position. Not a smart football team at all. No lesson learned ever.

It's amazing how the organization spins piss poor draft position as a good thing.

They didn't play their starters hardly at all... That 6-0 means NOTHING.
It is a lame argument....... statistically and historically the difference between 16 and 19 is zero
That's simply not accurate.

In some drafts, it doesn't matter. And in some(my guess would be most), it can matter a lot.

In the 16 draft, Ryan Kelly went at 18. And he turned out to be an absolute stud at C. So, which C's that went after him are even close?

Philly lost knowing that we would drop in the draft. It was a very good loss for them.

You won't say this when serious blue chippers fall to 15 and 18 and we miss them by just that much. You'll be admitting just how wrong you are about this issue.

No. They will continue to crow about this meaningless win. If they don't see the benefits of a higher draft position now they won't when the draft gets here. But they will ***** about drafting poorly ignoring the effect draft position had on the draft class.
