Lieutenant John Chard....Who is he??? If you ever saw the movie Zulu. Chard is the leader of the British engineers who he only had 150 men and held off over 5000 Zulus at Rorke's Drift.Engineers not really trained soldiers and the Zulus had wiped out a British Battalion earlier with no problem

John F Kennedy not only a great President people forget he served in WW2 and his little Naval boat got destroyed by a Japanese battleship .He helped his men survived on a Japanese controlled island and he stayed out in the ocean shark infested trying to find a US ship while his men wanted to surrender>He kept their morale up not too.He also had rescued a few of them when their ship got destroyed and he swam the wounded to safety.

I was never a fan of Alexander, he was a great soldier/conqueror form my point of view. When i first saw this scene i felt like standing shoulder to shoulder with Cleitus against Alexander.

Mohammad

Unlike other prophets he had no miracles
Was not a warrior and forgave his worst enemies
Changed the course of human history by how he lived
Did not just bring a message but established a society

only Jesus and Moses had an impact close to this

Here’s a controversial one ...

Adolf Hitler
Most identify Hitler as a mad man, but he did accomplished some good things as well.

WW1 Veteran
He rebuilt the German economy which lay in ruins after WW1.
Before him a wheel barrel full of money couldn’t buy you a loaf of bread.

Stopped the spread of Communism into the heart of Europe.

Time magazine named him man of the year.

Child Labor,
Youth Protection Law: also later on, children and young mothers got barred from working under specific circumstances.

The first laws against animal cruelty where implemented by the SS.

First to ban smoking from government buildings and first to link smoking to cancer. Also first to research cancer.

The autobahn or what we know as the highway system.

Healthy Food:
German bakeries were required to produce whole-grain bread.
Healthy food was marked with the seal of approval of the NSDAP's Office of Public Health.

Meat vs. Vegetables: "Too much meat can make you sick", suggesting soybeans as subsitutes for meat, etc.

The people’s car the Volkswagen. Nuff Said.....

(Note: I am not German or white)

Much of the globe would be different today without Roman influence. From organizational structuring, economic and monetary systems, nutrition, engineering, defense; the Roman Empire was indeed a model of marvel with everlasting influence. I was in Bath, England over the summer and it's incredible to see the functional longevity of Roman engineering.

Agreed, Roman Concrete still stands to this day and from what i have read has gotten stronger.

He did take over a lot of land very quickly. He lost his mental stability and his ego/pride got the better of him. He should of took over Russia before ever getting involved in France. Japan did him no favors when they attacked Pearl Harbor, forcing the US to get involved.

I'm sure it was merely a slight oversight in failing to mention the fact he was a huge proponent, fan& avid user of crystal meth,,,that little unsung attribute of world encompassing proportions needs stamped across his forehead right up there with the best of them,,,

( it was under his watch or command guidance that German chemist streamlined that process, there's a you tube video out about it,it shows little round tin cylinder tubes labeled 'pervitien' being sold like aspirin, and rows of them stuffed in the webbing of a field medics first aid kit.)

Powerful stuff right there,man!
But while watching it ,I had to jump into the" way back"
Machine and grab a quick overview as to the build up leading up to that fandango,,, the U.S. was prominent in getting Japan up and running into the modernized world since the beginning of that last century, while Japan held virtually zero common place fuel reserves of there own and was dependent upon the U.S. for its petroleum importation, and in typically "cool dude" fashion with the carrot & stick approach we started bashing them over the head with the economic sanctions stick by cutting off our oil exports to them in order to express our displeasure over their recent activities in their regional sphere of influence, which in turn only compounded the problem ,,,,and truth be known,,,That guy standing up at the podium prattling off in all the oratory grandeur displayed, damn sure knew in advance of Japan's intended surprise attack at Pearl Harbor, the mere fact that just the aircraft carriers were mysteriously steamed out just hours/ days prior, along with radar reports of the inbound attacking swarm being out right dismissed.
