Get Cousins at all costs!

I live in the DC area and can tell you Cousins is better than Dak. Do I wish we had him? Yes. But we probably won't pursue him since we are so invested in Dak and the front office wants to commit another year before they begin looking else where. Not giving Rush a chance to start or significant playing time when we were eliminated from post season should tell you this. Dak either turns it around next season or we suffer the same fate or worse and I think its the latter.

I live in DC too and your right. It’s not even close. Cousins is better than Dak.

Only people that don’t regularly watch the Commanders, would make such a stupid claim.

So because you live in D.C your opinion trumps everybody else on this board that disagrees....... Haha ok

Hey bud im going to tell you something. There's folks on this board that has forgotten more then you or me will ever know about football. To make a silly claim that because you live in D.C somehow makes you all knowing about the Commanders is silly. Some of these guys are obsessed with football, they don't need to live in D.C to watch film, or study film.

Perhaps you should come up with facts and prove your point, not say..... Oh I live in D.C so I know more then everybody else

Over 19k posts and he hasn't had a fact in one of them why do you think he will start giving them now?

I look forward to khila being like this all off-season...
He's like the energizer bunny. Kudos.
Man! I can't really figure out just yet where this forums membership shakes out at,ya know?,,,,sure there's always gonna be the old long established guard that'll cross swords at the slightest hint of being bested and carry that action for five pages, then the massive influx of 'new' old posting hands that are, for the somewhat most part , trying to maintain their cohesive integrity while navigating the shattered astroid belt of their orbit, then,,, theres that never sure what or why unforeseen variables fraction ( that's you & probably even me amongst several others)as it's a coin toss as to where there mood of agreement lies, plus that double fistful of posters on any given day who don't even like themselves ,let alone what anybody else has to say or think, then you throw in a 'super fan' or two having a bad day where it's no fun allowed & not in any particular thread either, yeppers,Corso!,,,,it should remain interesting around here for quite awhile,,,:lmao:

ATT: @Corso I'd inadvertantly failed to render due tribute to the most worthy& valuable of forum fractions that Irvin88 mentions

Also, the rapid reaction beer threader horde was intentional omitted simply because I'm of fair certainty that constitutes probably upwards of 90% of all forum membership,,,o_O

We're the last of the Outlaws, my friend. A neanderthal generation, while trying to be enlightened, yet being confused by the current constraints of societal whims.
I dance, in the face of Authority, while others react differently...
All I know is: We make this board a better place.

Cowboy fans need to stop listening to the media. For someone who watches him almost every week he’s not worth the big bucks. He’s basically a younger Alex Smith. He tends to come up short when he plays the better defenses.

We'll give old boy Year 3 and see how he has progressed and go from there, yes?

Yes Dak has one great season and one below average season. They should probably figure out what he can do this year and then go from there at QB.

Romo’s contract (all the restructuring) is already handicapping the team. Cousins contract would probably kill the team the next few years.

So because you live in D.C your opinion trumps everybody else on this board that disagrees....... Haha ok

No it doesn’t “trump” everyone’s else’s opinion. I was merely stating my opinion. I’m not sure how much exposure everyone else on this board gets from watching other teams besides the cowboys play. Kirk is on my television set every week. It’s what’s broadcasted here and the Commanders are the talk of the town so you hear everything.

That factors into my assessment of the two qbs. Kirk doesn’t have a better offense and performed better than Dak. Plain and simple.

Cousins is better passer at this stage of his career. But Dak and his salary is a much better deal for the Cowboys. If they signed any high price QB that means they’ll lose some other guys on the team due to the CAP. Cowboys should focus on fixing the D so they don’t have to rely if the O as much.

Living in NOVA I see him alsmot every week. Dude is overrated. He even has the skins scared to give him big bucks and they spend money like no other team.

IMO, it’s more of a problem with Qb contracts escalating every year despite skill level.

Each qb who is next to sign will make more money than qbs of the past regardless of skill level.

I agree, I’m not saying he’s worth the money. I’m saying this idea he’s better than Dak is absurd. He’s far better than Dak.

He’s not elite, but he’s in a better class of passers in the NFL than Dak will ever get too. Dak’s mechanics are awful. Kirk isn’t afraid the fling the ball, while Dak is cowardly and a checkdown king.

Taking into account what Dak has had to deal with as far as homer excuses, such as Smith being worse, Cousins has had it far, far worse.

Also, the Commanders wanted to sign him long-term last year, but he didn’t want it. And if he signed again, then there are further monetary implications for the Commanders for using their third franchise tag on him.

So Kirk played it beautifully.

And now the Commanders gave up a third and their best defensive player, plus 70 plus million for renting out Alex Smith.

That's some fantastic news to hear, friend!
I'm exceedingly gleeful upon receiving this insightful tidbit.

I might not live in D,C, but I do get Deadskin games every week thanks to my Washington affiliate and in my humble opinion Cousins is overrated. :D

Flozell Adams was arguably the only good OL. Davis was a bust and Columbo was a journeyman. Gurode couldn't even snap the ball properly and couldn't call out the plays, he was mentally dumb.

The first year Romo fully started, the OL was in it's first year together and Dak had all of his linemen with the exception of Martin, which was two years (Still more than the guys Romo was with) playing together a minimum of 3 years together. They were ALL PRO lineman before Dak even got here.

Just stop with this ridiculousness.

Dak even gets to work with Linehan as OC, while Romo was shackled with Garrett as a play-caller. By the time Dak got here, Callahan had already established the line and running game and when Garrett was here, they were looking to bring in Dan Reeves, because he had no experience calling running games and he absolutely sucked at it.

Just stick to the rookie argument and Dak needs time, because the rest is just utterly foolish.
Stick to the woe is Romo argument. Brees
Except you’re lying, you weren’t watching a Bills game. It’s not even that rare, you are also conveniently forgetting that Roethlisberger threw 4 interceptions in one half just this year, in a game it was far more likely you’d be watching. Except it doesn’t fit your narrative. Nice try though troll... you’re getting a little better at least.

Ok sorry....one other example....shoot me....very impressive research.

Either way, your Romo excuses will never go away..

He didn't have the right coach

He didn't have a good oline

He didn't have a defense

He didn't have an luck

The ball was wet

Dez caught it

It was a full moon

He didn't have Jerry Rice

He didn't

He didn't

He didn't

He didn't....blah blah blah

Drew Brees made it happen with a garbage defense

Same goes for Peyton

Same for Aaron Rodgers

Face it-Romo was a stat stuffer with average leadership skills.and prone to mistakes at the wrong time, many NFL'ers have confirmed it.....good never great.

Time to move on...if Dak sucks next year time to look for a replacement....but this hate for a guy who had an incredible rookie season followed by average by anyone standards is hilarious given his age.

Tony is a broadcaster now.....enjoy him....he is tremendous at that.
