Carson Wentz

Wentz is a very good QB. He's just not as great as some thought. The team around him is very good and he wasn't really carrying them.

Not as good as some thought? He was about to win league MVP.

Not in this game they don't. Different skillsets. Wentz isn't accurate enough to have beaten the Pats today, he'd have lost and Eagles would still have a bare cabinet

Agreed he only completes 61% of his passes. Dak is more accurate than Wentz.

Thank you Eagles team for making Wentz look good enough to be in contention for league MVP. You all must be awfully talented to do that

Foles would look just like Kellen Moore, Sanchez, etc here. He is definitely better than Moore though. The Eagles have a fantastic SYSTEM. If Foles was here, he'd be getting injured because our coach would refuse to give help to his lineman who is getting beat like a drum, all the while calling the most predictable plays in the league.

He isn’t a “system QB”.

It’s clear as day that he is surrounded by elite talent, with top notch coaching and scheme. He has success and people give him credit for it.

Dak plays well his rookie season with elite talent around him and mediocre coaching and he gets no credit for it from some.

This is the NFL. No QB “carries” a team.
No I think Dak gets plenty of credit for a fantastic rookie year. The problem is that his Soph year he pretty much sucked. Now the people that loved him his rookie year are wondering if he can be a franchise QB or will he never be more that a middle of the road QB. Seems like a legitimate question to me at this point.

Because people bought into the mirage. Wentz went down and the narrative that Philly was done. Season over. They never lost when Foles came in. Well except the meaningless Dallas scrimmage. Every game they tried, they won. And won it all. How valuable is Wentz? Not very. This pulls back the curtain on how Wentz benefits from a great system in place by Pederson.

Foles would be Brandon Weeden in Dallas.

Plenty of people here who act like he’s a complete
Bum that has no business being on an NFL field.

It’s one thing to question his future. That’s reasonable. But the vitriol and complete disrespect
He gets from some is what I’m talking about.

Wentz and his team finished last place his rookie year. He comes back and has a good 2nd year. After 2 years, both of them are the same. Except Dak never had his team finish last. I don't get this narrative that Wentz is now some great QB. Dak had a bad last half of the season. But everyone just completely forgets everything before that. Why? He obviously has the potential. Coaching matters, though. Look at Foles when he left Fisher. And Goff. Garrett will ruin his career, too if we let him hang around. He sucks the life out of this team from top to bottom.

Wentz would be good in any system because he’s an ultra talent with all of the intangibles.

Foles was awful until the NFC Championship game.

And then he got hurt and their team and offense didn’t even really miss a beat, and they won a Super Bowl.

MVP is most valuable player.

No knock on Wentz, but how is he the most valuable player when he goes out and the offense he ran still wins a championship, lighting up the #1 defense and beating the patriots in a Super Bowl.

Honestly, it’s proof that he isn’t the most
Valuable guy in the league. Again, not saying he isn’t good. But come on.

Yes because his team was very good. It made him look even better. Foles just won SB MVP does that make him better than Brady?

No but Brady is a system QB so I don’t really want to argue about that.

Wentz has more talent then Tom Brady and his work ethic and intangibles are all that you could ask for.

There's no I in Team
I know and that's what I',m saying. Fans acting like Wentz was the entire team. Even eagle fans were saying their season was over. Now they got to see just how good a team they had.
