James reminds me of a rich man's Jabril Peppers. I don't think he's that great in coverage, but he's a top-5 pick kind of athlete.

Someone's going to roll the dice on him in the first half of round one.

I don't know man. Peppers has the size of a safety, maybe even a big corner and played LB at Michigan. He was going to have to change positions in the pros, and even though his skill set fit a SS, he's still a bit undersized. Derwin James is built like the prototype. Doesn't have the production to match, but he also suffered a knee injury that caused him to miss most of his sophomore season. Had he played, got the experience and applied that this year, I don't think it would be possible to land him.

His completion percentage against in coverage was 43%, which was top amongst safeties.

Reason why is...there isn't walk in starters after them. Supply and demand.;)

I'd put Frank Ragnow, C/G, Arkansas as a day one starter

Ragnow could be in the running to be one of the top center prospects in the 2018 NFL Draft. Over the past two seasons, he hasn't allowed a single sack while taking on excellent competition. As one can expect coming from Arkansas, Ragnow is also a tough run blocker. He is a technician who enters his senior year having made 26 straight starts.

He's a stud, I think he'll be a top 50 selection.

I hope someone post a video of Quenton Nelson taking a bong hit right before the draft starts.
God I hope they don't and if it happens I hope we don't draft him. I am so sick of worrying about people not playing because of off the field stuff. Look at the guy you wanted over Taco as an example. All the red flags in the world and you still wanted him. Now hes probably going to be getting a big time suspension. Its just not worth the hassle. TMZ and camera phones would have ruined Michael Irvins career. Its not worth the trouble for troubled players anymore.

We polled 20 prospects from the 2018 NFL Draft class last month at the Reese's Senior Bowl on various football related questions that, collectively, provide some insight into how the NFL's incoming talent views the game's teams, coaches and players. This week, we'll publish the poll results. Today's poll question:

Which NFL coach would you most like to play for?

Perhaps it's his five Super Bowl rings as a head coach, or the unreal consistency with which the New England Patriots win year after year. Or maybe it's his -- ahem -- always-entertaining rapport with the media. Whatever the case, Bill Belichick was the choice of the prospects polled. While he hasn't coached an NFL game in 10 years -- before Senior Bowl players were even in high school -- Jon Gruden finished tied for second, along with Sean Payton and Mike Tomlin. Being a popular TV personality, clearly, has its advantages.

Full poll results (votes):

Bill Belichick, Patriots (4)

Jon Gruden, Raiders (3)

Sean Payton, Saints (3)

Mike Tomlin, Steelers (3)

Pete Carroll, Seahawks (2)

Dan Quinn, Falcons (2)

Jason Garrett, Cowboys (1)

Bill O'Brien, Texans (1)

Sean McVay, Rams (1)

James Washington probably voted for Garrett.

Exactly. No matter how much you study as a fan you are evaluating partly blind. You are not privy to the interviews and medicals. You don't have all the information to truly make an informed decision.

This is exactly TRUE.
And even if you study and know exactly what would be best for Dallas, doesn't mean Jerry will do it.
And even if he did, you may or may not have the proper coaches in place to develop the talent.
And even if Jerry got the proper coaching, they might not run an offense and/or defense that best utilizes the talent.
And even if all this comes together, you still can't control injuries that derail everything.

So why do we waste our time doing it.............because it's our team and we enjoy it. LOL

Another OL....... why not just draft a CB and get it over with

Building the trenches sure didn't work as advertised......now we are the slowest team in the NFL

It did work, until we lost two starters in Leary and Free, but did nothing to replace their productivity.

And with all of that extra information the Cowboys have they go and get a guy like Jaylon Smith.

This Bischoff guy has us taking Andrew Brown DT Virginia at 19.

Breathe that in. Let the aroma sting the nostrils.

Brown must have sky rocketed on his board. I haven’t seen him in the first round
