If we draft a WR in the first round or he one in FA then Dez maybe gone. But without moving up in the draft will there be a stud WR there at 19 and I think we need a DT first.

Why would you say this? It simply wouldn't be that difficult to replace Dez's production. A decent #2 could do it easily. I'd say the opposite is true, it would be easy to replace Dez's production from last season. The only reason to keep Dez would be the belief that he's going to ball out in 2018.
Find a current free agent WR that had Dez’s stats last year. There isn’t one. Draft picks also rarely show out in year 1 unless they’re Randy Moss.

His contract can be restructured, you know that........and to say he has zero trade value? OK.......lol
He’s right. Yea u have no idea what you’re talking about. Contract matters. If Dez were an unrestricted free agent, he’d get interest. No one is trading a 2nd or 3rd round pick for him.

"This is a business and we all have to be held accountable".............Stephen Jones

So Coach Clappy can go 8 freaking years with just a single Wildcard win and misses the playoffs dam near 75% of the time and Stephen doesn't say jack about it:huh:

I am not defending Dez, but if I am him I tell Jerry and his idiot boy that when Clappy starts being held accountable then we can talk about me being held accountable. Until then, SUCK IT

Personally, I would like to keep Dez and change the offense to a more creative, dynamic, imaginative offense and see how Dez does. If he still sucks, then next year I release him.

Now if we are going to keep theses same idiot coaches and the same idiot offensive schemes that everybody in the league laughs at for being paint by crayon simplistic, then we might as well cut the cord right now and show Dez the door.

Dez sucks in this dino offense from the 90s so if that is the plan for 2018, just save everybody's time and release him right now.

You want to add dynamic routes to Dez's clearly immaculate route running? Sounds awesome.

69/838/6 TD's? How is that not easily replaced? I'm really not getting your line of thinking here, Sydla.

Now, if you're referring to potential production, I can understand.

If you think some wide receiver is going to come in here and be paired with Dak and put stellar numbers you're trippin.

So when you ask rhetorically if ~800 yards and 6 TDs can be replaced you're not factoring Dak into the equation.

2016:
Stellar? Prolly not. This isn't that kind of O.

However, a good sharp route runner at #2 could do something like Beas in 16: 75/833/5 TD's.

Why are you asking for stellar?

Dez makes too many mistakes to be paid like he does, Dak misfires or no.

We also don't need *one* player to replace Dez's production, yard for yard or TD for TD. If his replacement only scores 6 touchdowns, but the RBs increase their TD totals or passing TD's get distributed more evenly, then Dez's production would have been replaced.

One thing I looked at is how did Dez the offense perform with Dez vs without Dez. And really the offense performed the same with or without him. In 2015 it sucked with or without him and in 2016 it was great with or without him. I don't think he is the difference maker people want to make him out to be.
I don’t think he is the difference maker people want to make him out to be. Great point!

“A lot of plays were left on that field because of me – me allowing my brain to be somewhere it shouldn’t be,” he said. “I should’ve been focused on football and just played football, and I promise that’s what I’m going to do from here on out – regardless of whatever situation that I’m in. This is my job, this is what I love to do, it’s all I want to do, it’s all I care about.”

I heard it was all Dak’s fault. Dez is making his defenders look foolish.
