Rewind: The Seattle Game

3rd quarter starts another excellent defensive series and it begs the question:

How did we lose this game again?

And there is Prescott's lob over Elliott's head to Justin Coleman.

14-9.

Incredible. The play itself was your typical Dallas special. Seattle had excellent coverage all across the field.

Bad decision by Prescott after but he made it worse by that throw. That was so awful.

Worse thing is, Prescott had a shot to break the pocket and run.

I wonder if the idea now with "Dak Friendly" is to give him that option.

Huge 43 yard PI on Beasley goes wasted after multiple breakdowns in pass protection after a slot blitz which they failed to block all day long.

Yet another FG attempt. Bailey is 4-4.

I left home for work after the first qtr (on delay with game pass) sure that Dallas’ defensive momentum would’ve kept going to the point that when I got to work in the mid-fourth qtr (I work with in an HQ building with screens everywhere to spoil everything) that I’d finish viewing the game with glee...

Not the case. I walked into the Cowboys down with a few minutes left on a Bailey FG attempt that he missed. I was thinking “*** happened in 3 qtrs?” Apparently the Garrett/Linehan/Dez happened. That was a long shift and pretty much concluded my hopes for the 2017 season.

A little over half the 3rd Q gone, Dallas has six straight stops on 3rd down.

I am sorry, but that is solid D that any O worth it's salt can build on.

After a grinding series with Elliott chipping away, we get a FD and 33 yard pass to Bryant on a broken play.

FD on the 25 has an Elliott loss, then CLANK, Bryant again.

Slightly underthrown, but Bryant was hardly alert.

Seattle ball.

Just freezing these plays and watching a couple of players, like Beasley.

I have no idea what they were trying to do.

These pass plays just look like they are waiting to see what develops and depending on Prescott to make the right decision.

Seahawks score again to make it 21-12.

That darn defense, let me tell you.

Trailing 21-12. Dallas opens up in a three TE set. Prescott forces a pass to Witten.

PI on Noah Brown. Ridiculous three yard pattern throw to Bryant. Witten FD.

First and goal at the 3. Shotgun alignment.

Prescott run on an RPO. Next play is yet again out of the shotgun, a slide play that ends with a hold on Witten. Sack by Frank Clark.

Give up play to Witten. That bum Bailey wasn't perfect and missed the Garrett Special.

That series right there ended the game. Period.

How hard would it have been to jam it down their throats? There was over six minutes left in the game and they had not moved the ball unless they got it off a turnover.

Just horrific game management.

This last drive by the Cowboys was sad.

The whole issue is Elliott was productive and Prescott could not handle the fact that Seattle just decided to go after him.

Just seeing Garrett do the mike adjustment and spit maneuver really is disgusting to watch.

But we wouldn’t want any other team taking advantage of the vast reservoir of knowledge Garrett has acquired from his seven years of on-the-job training.

Garrett chatters about stepping on throats and ends up stomping on the Seahawks toes.

I haven't watched it a second time, but I do remember being completely disgusted with it. Dez being a crybaby on the sideline, and then dropping passes left and right. Way to show that leadership, Dez! Seattle defense wasn't even fully assembled and yet our offense didn't have a clue how to hit it. Defense did a respectable job, but ultimately Russ would find a way.

It will be interesting to see if Dan Bailey recovers or not, because he looked like a scrub kicker in this game.

A team has to fail utterly in so many facets to lose a game in which its opponent had more penalty yards than total yards. It was definitely a coaching failure. I don’t where Garrett goes from here. He’s working on his third coaching staff overhaul.

Inept Coaching is a real problem with this team, I wont disagree with you there. Bailey still missed those chip shot FG's. Whether it was because of the groin or not is the real question we will find out next preseason.

Dak sucked hind titty. And Byron Bell makes Chaz Green look like Erik Williams pre crash. Defense played great except for Chido. Red clapped and spit. Dez pouted. Outcome was unacceptable to everybody but Jerry Jones. SMH
