I agree with Michael but I disagree about the money.

I want Dallas to get back some of that money. It's an awful contract right now.

Hey, Marshal Faulk won SB's as did Deion. I don't listen to either of them either. Both ripped Romo a new one every chance they got. Irvin is a complete homer that's my issue. Hey I don't pay much attention to Broadus and the DC.com writers either. That's just me though
I get he's knowledgeable about the game, but all this over dramatized chatter just makes him look silly.

Irvin is wrong.

He thinks we just needed one game to "make a run" in the playoffs. No. We just weren't that good a team. The offense had big issues, starting with Dez and Williams.

Michael talks about Dez taking double teams. I don't think so. Teams were mostly playing Dez man up, and those were his numbers. If anything, Beasley took more double teams than Dez.

We went 9-7 on the strength of beating the Eagles' cheerleaders. We couldn't beat the Seahawks while the season was still up for grabs, and they weren't a playoff team either.

Michael doesn't want to blow up the band, when in fact the band just wasn't that good, Dez has been a declining part of that band, and you'd *expect* that decline to continue given his injury history and age.

The undeniable fact is that the 2017 Cowboys beat nobody. The one "Big win" they did have came against the Chiefs - during their mid season freefall, where everybody was doing it. Other than that, they beat up on train wrecks like the Giants and Commanders and lost each and every significant test they faced against anyone who even came close to making the playoffs.

That is the awful truth of the 2017 season.

Irvin is right. Stephen and Jerry talk too much.

Even if they are thinking about getting rid of Dez. They should stop talking about it to the media.
Yep ..The distractions our ownership presents is much to overcome.

The balance of staying relevant for driving revenue to staying relevant in competitive football is Jerry’s greatest downfall which negatively effects our team and why I’ve often argued Jerry places himself above what’s best for Cowboys Football.

Bahahaha You think there are as many Broadus lovers as Irvin lovers? Could be
I wouldn’t be suprised lol but I do love watching Irvin considering he repersents the Cowboys more than the rest. His rants I just take with a grain of salt. Irvin looks at Dez as a son so going to the original post Irvin is just wanting to check in on the situation.

Irvin has a man love for Dez. I think he’s always seen a little of himself in Dez. He’s simply too much of a Dez homer to take what he says seriously about Dez. He took Dez under his wing when he first came to Dallas. The only thing Irvin said that I agree with is the Cowboys need a clean offseason without distractions. Irvin tried comparing the DeMarco Murray situation with Dez which is way off. It was clear (at least to me) we were going to take a big hit losing Murray who was sensational in 2014 setting a franchise rushing record and receiving an MVP vote. Murray was arguably the teams most valuable player in 2014 but many thought you could stick just any back behind our OL and they could do the same thing which was ridiculous. There was certainly no chemistry issue or distractions with Murray.

The situation with Dez is totally different. He’s not producing and there’s clearly a chemistry issue between him and Dak. Dez has become a distraction and he’s becoming a detriment. He’s still a very good player but he doesn’t seem to fit with the offense and QB we have. If he’s not involved enough he gets frustrated and it’s become an issue as we saw in the Seattle game. To get Dez involved you sometimes have to force him the balI. If we’re going to keep him he has to understand his role and accept it and we have to find better ways to get him involved and utilize his skills.

There's no doubt that the biggest problem with this team every year is its idiot ownership.

Sounds like he's going to confront Stephen tomorrow. He's right, this offseason is already getting off the tracks, too much off the field crap going on and it starts with the idiot owners.

Shut up, crackhead.
I thought you were still looking for a dumpster to throw that crack pipe away.
Also, the Royal Lounge motel called to complain your girls would not move out....

Dim wit? You should be banned.
Playmaker makes some great points

But the ignorant posters will come in here and say Irv doesnt know what hes talking about

Mike Irvin was one of my favorite Cowboys players (Probably #2 behind Erik Williams), however, Romo has already made more money as a media guy than Irvin has and it's been almost 20 years since Irvin retired.

Irvin was great because of athletic abilit, work ethic and positive emotion which made him the unquestioned emotional leader of 3 Super Bowl teams.

He didn't become famous for his ability to analyze complicated issues or for being a coach or GM.
