Odell has never had a better scoring season then Dez. Odell best in TDs is 13, Dez has a 13 season and 16 season. Both have had 2 seasons over 1300 yards. Odell had over 1400 yards which Dez has not had.

In the playoffs Odell didn't even show up. Dez on the other hand has actually showed up and played.

You look silly if you don't think Dez was an elite receiver at one time. He isn't that same guy now but Dez was outscoring everybody in the league

There were always complaints about his route running and his inability to separate but he was still productive. He found ways to make plays and a lot of them. You didn’t see all the drops back then and he was coming down with more jump balls. On the short out patterns and screens he was able to shrug off the first defender and break tackles. On those same plays now he’s not able to shrug off the defender or break tackles like he used to. He used to play faster than his 40 time and had more burst.

Coming off ankle surgery there’s no guarantees he’ll come back the same player. Terrific talent when healthy but he’s missed too many games with injury for my liking. This latest injury could rob him of some speed. Too high a price tag for a player that’s injury prone and coming off ankle surgery. Amazes me how many are discounting the injuries he’s had.

OBJ’s first three seasons were more impressive than Dez’s three best seasons from 2012 to 2014. In OBJ’s first three seasons he had 288 catches for 4122 yards and 38 TD’s in 43 games played. From 2012 to 2014 Dez had 273 catches for 4035 yards and 41 TD’s in 46 games played. OBJ had over 1300 yards and 13 TD’s in only 12 games as a rookie. He had 1450 yards in 15 games in 2015. He’s had 2 scoring plays of over 80 yards. When healthy he’s a far more dynamic player than Dez ever was.

He’s much faster and has produced more big plays than Dez. If it wasn’t for all the injuries he’s suffered which have cost him 20 games he would be the most dynamic receiver in the game in my opinion. The only thing Dez has over OBJ is he’s more physical and can win one on one battles but he’s not near the route runner and doesn’t have near the speed that OBJ possesses.

Dez was a TD machine over that period but OBJ is a better receiver. No receiver produced near the TDs Dez did from 2012 to 2014 but OBJ was only three behind him his first three years in the league and played in three fewer games. OBJ was ahead of Dez in every statistical category except for TDs and that was close. Dez has to win contested battles for the ball for TDs while OBJ runs past defenders.
