We should give up on super bowl this season

The Eagles are a bad example.

Largely because they were an unknown. You didn’t know what kind of coach Pederson was. So while surprising, the fact we had no idea what Pederson would be makes their situation different.

We know what Garrett is. That’s part of the problem.

Agreed but Garrett has shown that if he can create an almost perfect environment that he can get us to the playoffs.

Now if we could get there, have a defense, and avoid Rodgers we might do something.

2 out of 7 seasons in the playoffs doesn’t make me think Garrett can do anything.

With this FO and Garrett, I don't expect to win a title. What I do expect is winning TWO playoff games in the same season

Look, Dallas is still probably the 2nd best team in the East, so look ahead for a WC and try to go in the playoffs hot. That is the best I can hope for, realistically.

On the flip-side, Dallas can totally suck and that just might warrant a new staff

Yes, the sky is falling. And the Browns are Super Bowl Champs, NOT!

That's my prediction.

I felt like it was obvious to make a move this offseason to our staff.

Stuff like this usually carries over into the next season and you gotta be ahead of it.

I think the players hate the scheme and we've never heard them be more vocal then they were this offseason.

All that's needed is for Zeke to stay out of trouble and Dak to be an above average QB no matter the circumstances. A 1T and LBers that you can count on to stay healthy would be nice, but the team isn't so far off and looks to be relying on getting those things in the draft.

Strong QB play can offset a ton of problems.

Voice of reason. Get the Oline fixed up and this offense once again takes off. Dak will be fine. Zeke needs to bring back that hunger from his rookie season

SB are not won this time of year. The Eagles have a better chance of not making the play offs than repeating, that is what history tells us. Now, if we had a QB I would be very excited for the coming year, but if 4 is still under center, I am just watching to kill a few hours because he sucks.

Because good teams got better and better teams got even better.

Contender for NFC seeds and division titles
Eagles: Got better defense
Seattle: they will retrogress this season
Vikings: Get better with Cousins.
Saints: Drew Brees and excellent coaching
Green Bay; Healthy Aaron Rodgers makes a difference. We know it the best when we played one legged version of him.
Falcons: Dont see them regressing. Will be similar to last season.

Question mark teams which can cause upsets
Giants: Getting better and have premium draft picks.
Bucs: Same 8-8 status quo.
Cards: might get better but a wild card team than a contender.
Panthers: Not sure which version will show up.

Where do the 2018 Dallas Cowboys fit in. Are we in the top category or bottom category where we struggle to make the playoffs. Even if we do, it is as wild card.
How many people gave the Eagles a chance to win the Superbowl at the start of last season?

oh no.
what are we to do.
they are giants to our eyes.
we are but ants to them.

screw philly.
58yrs to get 1...so what.

Super Bowl? :muttley:

I'll start thinking Super Bowl the next time I hear "...the Dallas Cowboys are headed to the NFC championship game."

The last announcer who said it has been dead for years.

It doesn't look good, but we haven't had the draft yet. o_O

Awesome...Guess we can shut down the season now and close shop.

Nice knowing all of you guys over the years.

Oh wait...let's not give up so early.

You think the site can get shut down until the day after the super bowl?

We should give up on the season because we aren't overpaying for players their original teams can live without?

Okay....
