Instagram: Dez Post Signals Return

If you knew what you were talking about you would know I've criticised Dak for many things along with other players but the dezzies ignore it and take any Dez criticism as hate and not looking at other areas.
I don't care about other pass catchers. Dez is the one I've had no faith in ever since the Seattle 2017 game. I'm over the drama and lack of production.

They love to make excuses for him. Three years worth of excuses.

There's more than just the lack of production that bothers me. As I said, I've supported his freakish talent until last season. I can't do it anymore.
He put himself above the team and pretty much has since the beginning. I don't particularly like his general attitude. An 8 year vet isn't just going to change all of a sudden.

He was never taking a pay cut to begin with. He had no reason to.
Interesting this is the first time I've read this. Even the biggest Dez supporters agreed he should renegotiate his salary. Well, until hindsight came into play and the WR market went up.

Would you take a pay cut? I would not. WR are getting paid more now than when he was signed. JJ will honor his contract. We won’t be signing another big WR anytime soon. After shoring up O-Line contracts we will have Dak contract. Elliot? Maybe 5 year option with him. Or maybe sign Elliot before someone drives up the pay scale for them next. QB are getting 25 million now a days. Unreal.

If he can strike fear in secondary’s they will quickly start to double team him again. Then we are winning.

I wouldn't hold my breath. When a 5'8" UDFA is drawing the double team instead of Dez the only thing Dez is striking fear in is our salary cap.

His agent knew that this was going to happen, that's what he gets paid for.

I've always said this though. Every year fans want a underachiever to take a pay cut? Why would they? What is the threat? You cut me? What you won't pay someone else will.

Nope. I wouldn't take a pay cut and he shouldn't either.

Cassell, Weeden, Moore and Dak is all I have to say about those 3 years.

Well, replace Weeden with Romo. Dez was injured when Weeden played. Dez wasn't too hot in the small amount of time he played with Romo in 2015 either. Dropping a 3rd down conversion, having a touchdown pass clank off his hands, arguing with Josh Norman instead of preventing a pick 6, and not breaking off a route in the red zone on a blitz causing an interception.

Now, I'll wait for the argument for those facts.

Some seem too enamored by what dez WAS, not what he IS today.

Don't be so certain about that he has a lot left to prove still.

He's still YOUR Dallas Cowboys Number 1 WR. How's that for an argument?

I used to be a Dez fan too, but at some point a person should eventually be realistic. The amount of cap we invested in Dez gave zero margin for error with a player who needed a full time babysitter. That was a poor risk.

You are right. It's NOT just the lack of production. It's the entire brain dead package. Melting down when he isn't getting the ball even though we are winning. Total me first and currently inept player.

He may have a argument especially after what Ryan Grant got. These contracts are a joke.

They are not a joke, it's the cost of doing business in the NFL, when the Super Bowl Champs make more FA moves than a division rival that didn't make the playoffs it's a problem.

It may turn out to be good business for the Cowboys. Time will tell.
