bad move stop moving people..let fleming be a swing tackle for depth and sign cooper or a true LG . stop this crap they should have learned the double switch with chaz/cooper and a a lot of other trying to replace leary and move Collins was a failure and set us back but by season end it started to gel..stop FN with the continuity.

The issue is that a good Swing Tackle will go where he has a chance to start. That leaves the Byron Bell types as pure backup Swing Tackles for the Cowboys.

They might also offer Fleming a good contract to play LG. Either way Fleming/Collins at RT/LG or LG/RT it would get them a better backup OT option than what they can sign as a backup-only OT.

The more I think about it, the more likely he goes back to New England.

He’s probably coming to Dallas for a free meal, see some friends and family. They’ll use us to up his money in New England

If Dallas signs Fleming, Chazzy Boy is firmly on the roster bubble.

Not unless they draft someone. They take 7 to gameday and Green would be the swing tackle and they need to draft a guard center or sign one to also be active on gameday.

Right now I would say cooper and bell are out.

It took Doug Free a few years to be able to play also so there is no reason to get rid of chaz green

Even if he doesn't sign, How is Chaz NOT on the roster bubble anyways? A guy off the street would be better. Guy can't play...

They did sign Matt Tobin away from the Seahawks. Not sure if that was just depth or a replacement for Fleming. We'll have to see.

Quite honestly to dredge up Doug Free stuff right now isn't going to get us anywhere.

We'll see how the Collins situation sorts itself out.

I'll take that as an admitted concession.

But sure, that's fair enough to let things sort themselves out. Let's just keep in mind that any "situation" regarding Collins moving is speculation from Todd Archer in a tweet and nothing more.

And that Fleming was a #4 tackle who played due to injury.

I would say six sacks to Adrian Clayborn does.

And he played well in 2016 so you have a good performance and a bad one for an inexpensive young player. I remember everyone wanting free cut because he never played at the start of 09 and people calling him a bust.

It makes zero sense to cut chaz green when you need a swing tackle. If he goes into the spring as the swing tackle and is not playing guard and a new set of coaches he could turn into a good player.

Joe berger was here years ago and everyone hated him and claimed he was weak and terrible and he ended up turning into a good player, same with stephen peterman.

He played well in both games he played in during the 2016 season at tackle.

New England also has La’Adrian Waddle as a free agent who I believe got 1st crack at RT over Flemming but got hurt. I doubt they can resign both so possible Flemming is making the rounds because the Pats are negotiating with Waddle.

I’ll be a little surprised if someone doesn’t pay Flemming decent starting RT $ being only 25. If he signs with us for reasonably cheap
/non starter $ it means he didn’t get much interest elsewhere as a starter.

I wouldn't hate this. He's been a part-time starter the last 4 years for the Patriots, and he's only 25.

Does anyone have his PFF grades from last year. I'd be curious to see why Patriots aren't working OT to keep him, especially after losing Nate Solder.

I like this if he's priced right. At worst a swing tackle. Like that he's 25.

Ranked #24 Tackle by PFF and is solid in both run and pass.
