virtually every Coach of the Year has been fired sooner or later; so that means DIDDLY SQUAT.
Red Ball slobberers like you will NEVER learn.

and for your oh so convenient memory Wade was up for coach of the year in 2007 and came fairly close to getting it.

2 out of 18 of the last COY only 2 of them won a Super Bowl

There is no excuse why Wentz is not a Cowboy. Jerry could have traded up and drafted the franchise QB for the next decade. Biggest mistake in years considering how highly Dallas rated him.
Good to see you back

No reason? Well, let's see:

Played for an FCS school.
Only played about a year and a half as a starter for NDU, backup the rest of his time in college.
Injured his senior year, missed 8 games.

Yeah, no reason.

Love the 20-20 hindsight...

you do know Wentz was high on Cowboys list .... they prob would of taken him if he was available . But I think the reason is how much Dallas values its draft picks and they are trying to build from the draft not FA . That would answer the orignal question

Paxton Lynch and Connor Cook were high on their list too.

They luckily ended up with the rookie of the year at qb. Worked out well for them and got a cheap quarterback.

ROY does not mean much , it almost as bad as the COY reward . Its like some of these rewards in the NFL have curses or jinxes on them

RG3 , Vince Young Same Bradford .... Its easy to pick and choose huh

I'm not picking and choosing. I chose the most relevant and recent ones. How far do you want to go back? Do you want to go back to the past 30 years? Or do you want to go back to 1990....we can go back as far as you want or as recent as you want....but winning rookie of the year has surely not meant a "curse".

I cant help you if you dont understand written words ... Notice I say ROY Does not mean much .... It really does not , it seems your letting Bias get in the way . I SAID its ALMOST as bad as COY that NFL rewards are like a Curse OR Jinx . You seem to focus on only part of my post and pick what you want from it ... just like your list.

COY only two in the last 18 Years have won a Super Bowl ..... ROY Its over 20 since a player won a Super Bowl . Now lets get back to the NFL rewards curse/ Jinx .... Like the MVP reward , There is another that the players get MVP and Lose Superbowl . Most recent since you like that Brady , Ryan and Scam . The Rewards of the NFL are really a joke most times but people like to hang on to them . Its like how being a Pro bowler means so little then it did in the past . The way some of these rewards get given its almost like a consolation prize or participation reward .

Coach of the Year is nothing like Rookie of the Year. Go and see the guys who won Coach of the Year......there's only about 4 or 5 great coaches in this league anyway.

Go look at who has won rookie of the year. You can try and belittle what ROY is and what it stands for.....but look at who has won it. Go look at the past 20 years and list all of the bums who have won it.

You could be RGIII. Or you could be Cam Newton. But RGIII doesn't speak for everyone that has won ROY.

Do you understand what "it does not mean much" mean ? It does not take away how good a player is ... Also do you know what almost means ? Like I said you seem to not undstand so Im moving on

Move on. That's fine. It would be nice if you admitted you were wrong but I don't expect you to do that.

I don't remember which one of you dudes I got into it with for saying I didn't care what outside doctors say, Wentz will be starting QB for week 1 of the regular season, but whoever it was, let this be a lesson to you to never disagree with me. I'm always right.
Oh my Reds. There ya go again tossing that red mop around. I'll bet you a cookie, Wentz won't be the Egals starter September 6th.:p

Lol. Both Dak & Carson had one good season, and one bad season. Wentz is injury prone, therefore never played in the post season.

Which will be even more interesting with that huge APE on his shoulder. I'll stick with Dak thank you!;)

Bet you he doesn't. Huge mistake if he does. He won' have the proprioception in his knee developed enough yet to play actual game time running in the pocket. Cool. He can throw in non contact with a knee brace on. Show me him dodging pass rushers with an inherently unstable knee. Then we can talk.
