I don't care what team he's on, but after his photobomb in London I'd say he deserves a lifetime contract in the NFL.
More importantly how many players at one position can you have on their second and third contractsYeah but why would Beasley re-sign? I wouldnt' sign if I were him coming off a bad year.
He saves us 3.25 in cap. And Switzer is probably an overall better player if he gets some reps.
He’s gonna get so much money in FA that we will get a great comp pick but no one will trade for him and a pick combinedBeasley plus a 4th only gets you a 2nd if Beasley is getting an early 3rd worth of value. Which I don't see happening, and said so.
I'd probably take an early 3rd for Beasley, and the team probably would too, unless they have plans for an extension, which is an idea I approve.
Beasley's history with the team suggest he is risk averse and likes things settled. We might get a good contract off him if we offered it coming off a down year, and he is facing a contract year.
What makes Switzer an overall better player? To me Switzer doesn't seem fluid when he runs. I think Beasley's fall in production in 2017 is the reason some calling for a change. Get a vertical WR and a TE with some speed and you will see Beasley thrive again. Overall pedestrian team speed at WR and a poor and predictable scheme is the biggest reasons for the fall in our passing game.He saves us 3.25 in cap. In the one game Switzer really got snaps he looked like Beasley out thereWhat makes Switzer an overall better player? To me Switzer doesn't seem fluid when he runs. I've seen this idea pop up in quite a few threads lately. I'm not sure what spawned this. Admittedly with being in vacation last week and some other personal business, I haven't been as plugged in as usual, but where did this come from?
Did a coach or FO person allude to something I missed? Is it people just wanting change for the sake of change? Do you believe the difference in play between Switzer and Beasley is negligible and therefore are ready to pass the torch?
Can someone shed a lite light and share their opinions on this? I sincerely don't get it. I like Beas. I like his attitude, his work ethic and his skill set. He's one of the few real "gamers" we have on offense.
So, clue me in, please.
Nice analysis, ruffian! As bad as Dez is, Witten is a huge liability in the passing game. They can double Beasley because he is the most dangerous receiver we have. Witten can't get depth of route because he is too slow.
Dez can't catch a ball, or run a route. Witten can't get to the sticks. If you get Beasley any help whatsoever I think you will see his production go way up.
When the Cowboys drafted Switzer as high as they did that told me the writing was on the wall for Beasley.

I don’t buy that
Keeping Beasley another year and dreaming of comp picks is not a strategy
In order for it to work you can’t sign FA and you have to pray they get big contracts
The small shifty guys out of the slot run a lot of option routes. That's why they get open.patriots have been successful playing both amendola and Edelman. we could do the same with Beasley and switzer. assuming our oc can come up with something new.
When it comes to some fans, it's like putting that bag of poop down, running away and then watching your wife open the door and stomp it out. Doh!!!Yep it is kinda like putting a sack of poop on someones front porch lighting it knocking and then running off a lil ways and watching what happens
It certainly didn’t tell me that, Beasley was coming off a career year when we drafted Switzer. The Cowboys seem to be trying to copy the Patriots with the use of our TEs and WRs. We drafted TEs high to try and mimic the Gronk/Hernandez combo. The Cowboys saw some Welker in Beasley. The team appeared to want to pair Switzer and Beasley in certain sets to be our Amendola and Edelman. I don’t think the plan was to move on from Beasley but to add another element to our passing attack with Switzer.
Yeah I don't believe they will do anything. They will not be doing any 2 tight end sets....they won't be doing any two slot receiver sets.....none of it. Don't even let them fool you into thinking they will do that. How many times last season did we see Switzer and Beasley on the field together?
