Dak is good at broken plays with broken routes. But he isn't strong from the pocket just throwing regular downfield routes.

He was pretty good at it two years ago when he had a clean pocket.

His issues stem from his footwork and mechanics. Not a lack of physical ability, like the posters on this site who call him “noodle arm” would say.

Most of Dak's issues stem from weak protection. Despite the hating crowds whining he's a good qb and probably the least of our worries.

Sorry, but unless you're going to elaborate it's not much deeper than saying sometimes all skies are blue. I mean, yeah all QBs get pressured and at times their O line breaks down but that doesn't mean it's not a factor in why the offense took a dip last season.

In the video provided (which JUST 10 plays out of the dozens) nearly every play Dak was getting significant pressure. You can use a blanket statement if you want, but that led to much of his struggles and it snowballed once defenses were able to expose the issues.

Ok for those that need an explanation. This clip of some of daks best plays where you say he is under pressure is no different than any QB in the NFL. Your statement that Dak was under significant pressure is a glimpse of what every quarterback deals with on every play so stop making excuses for Dak.
 
It would be nice if so many of these plays aren't based on the protection breaking down but then they would just be routine plays. I like the option keeper aspect to Dak's game.

Attempt to be as condescending as you want, doesn't bother me.
That's simply not true. Every QB does NOT deal with that sort of pressure every play, that's ridiculous. The year before when the O line was healthy, intact and we had Elliott Dak had much more time to make plays. As opposed to having to scramble and make something happen. Reminded me of Romo's Houdini escape moves.
Those aren't excuses they're what happened.

Especially, when as was mostly the case in this video, it wasn't immediate pressure. He usually had time initially.

What's worse is that I think all but 2 of these were in the first 5 games or so. The two that weren't were one that was more of a better play by Dez, and one that was a dump off the 6 or 7 yards (good escape though).

We had the number 4 rated line last year.

Having said that, I blame the scheme and coaching more than I do Dak.

Agreed, the question is why do most of our big plays revolve around scrambling and buying more time? Why aren't they just good scheme's that allows Dak to throw downfield from the pocket?

Why, because the "D" knows what we are doing and they cover that up. The only big plays come when the receivers break their routes because the QB is under pressure and do something different.
 
Didn't like when they didn't take Chaz Green out after allowing six sacks obviously. Coaches are definitely to blame not addressing that issue. Or at least send running back or TE for help.

Yes, in fact, most QBs in the NFL deal with far less pressure than Dak. There are very few good offensive lines in the NFL.

Did you watch the entire season, or just these 10 plays? Dak prefers to bail out the back, and when he steps up in the pocket, he's usually looking to run.

This has been a COMMON criticism of Dak. Not just my opinion.

in order to do that you gotta block and keep a clean pocket.
many of dak's best plays in 2016 featured him stepping up into clean pockets.
